"Son, one day you will rule our kingdom..." - this is how the father of the little Prince Marvolo began his first lesson as a future ruler. From an early age, Marvolo tried to be as good as his father. He went on patrols, trained hard in wrestling and also taught his younger brothers and sisters this art. He expanded his knowledge whenever he could and tried not to miss any opportunity to do so. He did this to be the best king possible in the future. As heir to the throne, he had to be betrothed as a tiny lion cub. And although at first he and his fiancée, Princess Kayya, did not like each other very much - as is often the case with children, over time they became friends with each other and finally created a very well-matched and loving couple. But one thought kept nagging at the back of his mind... "Are you sure I'm good enough? Am I fit to be king?" These doubts constantly tormented the young lion until he finally decided to renounce his title of heir in favor of his younger brother, Prince Arthur. When he went to announce his decision to the father, the King asked him the reason. Hearing it, he asked his son, "So you have doubts?" After hearing the affirmative answer, the old King smiled slightly and said, "It's good that you have them. A good king is one who is aware of his ignorance and does everything to gain this knowledge and be an even better king. A bad king claims that he is the best and does nothing to actually become so. Now I know that I chose the heir to the throne well." The young lion took his father's words to heart. They became the motto of the entire period of his reign.
