Biography
CORVID. a revered figure in his pride, corvid was borne to a former leader and one of his many mates. when corvid was but a small cub, his father noticed white splotches covering some of the little prince’s dark fur. from the outside perspective, it would seem plausible to simply get rid of the cub, as the white made him less recognizable as a corvid pride member. but his family celebrated. clearly, the magpies and jackdaws had bestowed their blessing onto the pride by reincarnating one of their own into the royal family’s litter! from then on, though corvid was one of the younger cubs, he was set to take on the throne once of age. when he was an adolescent, corvid was quite the daredevil. he’d take on challenges like no other cub his age, and this pushed the other cubs to continue with their jeers. one day, a gorgeous adolescent his age dared him to trot to one of the altars built for one of their deities, a dark fiery crow depicted as being the goddess of death, and touch eternal flame that burned just above it, a symbol of the goddess’s contentment with the pride. as the immature lion he was, corvid accepted. as he reached a paw out to touch the flame, his entire body engulfed in flame. the sire, however, did not feel any pain. his body did not ache or protest in pain. instead, he felt powerful and ready to take on anything. a voice then came to him, strong and commanding, “I HAVE GIVEN YOU MY BLESSING.
