Mammin's Den

"Oh, look, a wanderer," purrs Mammin from his ledge, folding his paws daintily and staring at your prone form at the bottom of the valley. From all sides, lions slink from their respective dens, half-hidden by crops of boulders; the click of their claws is almost drowned out by a dribbling waterfall that pools near your feet, but their snickers reach your ears just fine.

"I hope you don't expect to walk through my territory without offering something in exchange...hmm. You should be shaking in the presence of my magnificence. Come on, I'm terrifying, right?"

Hot breath hits your face, so sudden your every muscle tenses in violent alarm. "Oh, please, don't scare our visitor," Laavy hums, slinking into view before you. Her tail teases your nose for just a moment before she's gone, leaping onto Mammin's perch with practiced grace and burying her head in his ruff.
