You are shocked when you catch the scent of a large band of wandering lions that follows herds and rivers all over the land. Hesitantly you peek over the hill. This group seems too large and shrewed to be a bunch of outcasts. The lions walking by are all lean and fit looking that comes from a life with much slinking about. Nervously you try to get a little closer to see a big thawny male with an impessive flowing mane. Watching them you think you might have heard of them before.

Although their arrival is often not welcome their faces look well meaning and open. Some prides use their annual wanderings or surprise appearances to have fellow pride members escorted across the land and to carry on messages to relatives in other parts of the land. They navigate at night and have a strange habit of roaring at the stars and telling stories of ancestors long past and places far far away.



Ukwelis pride of wanderes is not looking for trouble but willing to stand their ground to find enough food and water for many days to come. This does not endear them to most prides but they always seem to know when to move on and how long to linger until they outstay their welcome.

The Ukweli wandering pride originated from the Great Planes far into the savannah. Ukwelis liniage came from very wise kings and queens and their land prospered to the point of overcrowding. After a very long draught and much hardship Ukweli realized that most of the prides around have his mothers of his fathers blood in them and unwilling to fight brothers and cousins he gathered lions and lionesses ready to leave before the pride crumbled apart on too many maws to feed and scars to lick. He expected to fight for his chance to take others with him but was met with the approval of queen Aquila and thus left the great savannah plains for his many brothers and cousins to wrangle and war over.
