Welcome to the Springs
Surrounded by a cruel savannah, after days of endless traveling, you find yourself at the foot of a large canyon, with a waterfall supplying water to the lake at its base. Exhausted, you finally make your way toward the water, ready to treat yourself to a sip of the cooling source of life.As you approach, you carefully inspect your surroundings. You notice several trees growing close to the water source, forming a ring of sorts around. You also notice seemingly empty caves situated very near the waterhole. It would be a perfect place to move your pride to. The air around you is pleasant, fresh even, as though new life has been recently brought into this place.
As you lean your head closer to the water, you notice there isn’t just your reflection present on its surface. You quickly lift your head and find you were being watched the entire time. Laying on a large rock in the middle of the waterhole is a silvery-blue lioness, with stark white wings folded lazily to their sides. They watch you with their head tilted slightly to the side, their bright blue eyes focused on you.
"Welcome to The Peaceful Springs traveler. What business may you have here?" They ask with a yawn, their voice melodic and melancholic.
A moment of silence passes before you introduce yourself. You take a moment to study the lioness before you, wondering who they are and what they are doing here. Also, why are they so calm?
"My name is Andromeda" They continue without minding your silence. "Feel free to stay for as long as you need. My pride will provide you with shelter until you are ready to continue your journey." They say, their tone still mild and almost bored, yet they give you a warm smile.
