Ok you were officially lost. You must of taken a wrong turn somewhere because this territory looks nothing like your pride’s. Determined to find your way back you venture farther into this strange territory.
“What part of pick up the pace do you not understand?!?” A roar in the distance makes you stop in your tracks. In front of you was a large lion with long sharp canines that could easily rip your throat out in a matter of seconds. He was towering over a young lioness only a few moons above adolescent age. Her fur was matted and soaked with blood from wounds that covered her entire body.
“I-I apologize Prince Nephilio, I didn’t mean to b-be so slow I just-“ Her voice was gentle but filled with so much fear that it broke your heart. “You just what? Needed a break?!? Get out of my sight before I rip your head from your shoulders!” Prince Nephilio -if what you heard was correct- snarled as he left the lioness trembling.
“Are you alright?” You ask her gently as you slowly walked towards her out from where you had hidden. The lioness stands on weak legs and looks at you with cold eyes. “Who are you?!? What do you want with Arth?!?”
Arth? What is that? You look at her in bewilderment and shake your head. “I don’t know what Arth is, but you’re injured-“ The lioness cuts you off with a snarl. “Prince Nephilio spared me, I don’t care if I’m injured. More importantly why is an Outsider like you here?”
The lioness had started circling you, eyeing you, but that gave you a moment to look her over. Scars and wounds littered her body and you could easily count ever single one of her ribs. Deciding not to make her more wary than she already was you tell her the truth. “I’m lost, I took a wrong turn somewhere and instead of arriving at my Pride I arrived here.”
The lioness nods and stops her circling, “ Very well, I’ll show you to Matash. The Wahan Tribe’s best tracker. She’ll help you get back to your Pride.” With a flick of her tail the lioness beckons you to follow her as she walks away with a limp.
