Jericho was born from the gods, he was created to control the stars. But as he grew older, his parents realized he would never have the power they so wished he would have. When he was only half a year old, the sky spat him out like an old chewed bone and threw him down to Earth.

Jericho, with the droplets of space hanging from his fur, was forced to stay on Earth's plain lands. He grew up by himself, eating lizards and birds to sustain himself. When Jericho was an adolescent, old enough to be attractive to the females, he was discovered by some teenagers from Mischief's pride. The girls took a liking to Jericho and brought him home to their queen, Mischief.

Jericho was accepted into this pride when he was already an adolescent, which made him prime heir material. Mischief allowed him to become her heir, promising great popularity with the ladies from other prides. Jericho replaced Kritanta as heir, which ruined his reputation with the lionesses in this pride. Kritanta was set to be the next queen before Jericho showed up, so Kritanta was not pleased with his presence.

Astoria, the lead lioness, refused to accept Jericho as the king. But when Mischief died, Astoria realized she had no choice but to accept Jericho as king, so she gave up in her fight against him.
