There is a fiercely loyal queen who takes after her father. His fierceness and mind running in her gold tainted blood. Who leads with such dominance, it's almost terrifying. Fyera The Gold is one of a kind. A female lioness with the strength and fierceness of an overprotective king. She loves her pride, though sometimes she may not act like it. There are very strict things she wants in her pride, such as certain markings and colors. Certain loyalty, and kindness. If her lions don’t have these things, she’s killed them. She’s killed her lions in the past, and she will in the future to help grow and carry her pride to success and fulfillment. Fyera The Gold provides many things to her pride, such as hunting schedules, scouting expeditions, and organizing the patrols. She has always been the one to do it, and simply wants to do it with the pure title of Queen. Fyera has done everything in her wide reach of power to put her pride in the greatest spot she can. The pure gold ranks her pride has slowly grown by the day as she finds bigger and better mines to get her gold from. Fyera knows the power of having wealth, and she has no problem getting more and more of it.
These are the thoughts of her pride as she walks through them, eyeing them with a fierce eye. They’re all by the gate where the past King still stays, unseen. He tries to get her attention, standing in front of her for a moment.
“Fyera?” Reedclaw narrowed his eyes at her, watching as she passed him by. “Fyera!” He shouts after her. “Come back here, You are not-”
The lioness turned around quickly, snarling. “I am the Queen of this pride,” She spat at him. “You are nothing but a dead, very dead, memory.” She turned back to her pride, smiling as she walked past them. “Can you please get the hunting parties ready?” She asked one lioness gently.
Reedclaw walked up to her, seemingly invisible in the bright light. “I, Reedclaw, am still King. I will be until the day I disappear from this land,” His eyes turned into slits. “Fyera the Gold.” He growled at her, and her eyes flicked up to see him.
“What, oh so great king?” She hissed. “Will you watch as we go down the drain again? Or at least begin to? You know that happened last time we put you in charge, and left it.”
Redclaw was quiet, watching her for a moment. “You are a cruel, cruel queen, you know that?” He nodded at the lions, “You have killed them before, and you will continue to. You will continue until this pride is exactly the way you want it.”
“And it shall be better for it,” Fyera locked him dead in the eyes, “You know nothing about how amazingly great this pride is now, without you.” She stomped on the ground lightly, watching him closely, “Do you know how our gold supplies are now? How the gold run through each lion’s veins here?” She narrowed her eyes. “The great gene you once wanted, but tried to get through kindness? It didn’t work.”
“....” Reedclaw was quiet, watching her, again. The lioness who she had asked to get the hunting party came up to her. The gold genes were clearly instilled with her family. He knew it, and so did Fyera.
“The parties are ready,” the lioness smiled at Fyera, “Just tell us when you want us to head out, my queen,” She looked at Reedclaw, “King,” she nodded politely.
“Good,” Fyera smiled at her kindly, “We will leave soon, let me handle this for a moment,” The lioness walked off, leaving Fyera and Reedclaw to themselves. She looked at him, and smiled. “That is what happened when I took over. When I made everything better, and you were better off as the door keeper.” She scoffed at him. “Leave, Reedclaw, it was better for the pride,”
Reedclaw nodded slightly. “Possibly, so you should think about something,” He looked her up and down. “Kindness and empathy being shown goes a long way,” He narrowed his eyes slightly, “But meaning it is a whole different way you could take, and it would mean so much more,”
“Kindness is for the weak,” She looked up at him, and smiled. “If you show it and mean it then it’s something different, and it has always been something else.” Fyera looked out to the pride, seeing the hunting parties lining the outskirts of them, looking at the rest of the lions with joy and love in their eyes. “It is something that some would not have, and some others have too much of,” she paused for a moment, “And I have enough of it to get us - the pride - through this mess that you put us in.”
She locked eyes with Reedclaw, “So disappear.”
