Not really. It's just good to be back after a long hiatus. Somehow, like a salmon to their birth river, I always come back. My name is Artex. I've gone by several usernames over the years -- and years it has been, indeed. This flesh prison is feeling quite a different age dynamic in the game community now.

A little about me, I am attending a university for a BA in English, and will likely soon declare a minor in Creative Writing, Journalism, or Marketing. In the coming semesters I hope to study Russian, and next summer to participate in a returning study abroad in Scotland.

I live in the United States. Interests include languages (Swedish is going to be my focus soon), writing, attending hardcore concerts, anything of the goth/punk/metalhead subcultures, black metal, nature, rats, and big ol' beasty dogs. I live in huge laced-up Doc Martens. I have an affinity for anything from Scandinavia, and feel quite a closeness to Norse mythology.

Star Trek, J.R.R. Tolkien, Harry Potter, and LOST are some of my favorite fandoms.

I have always been a faithful swain to the color green - murky green -, but recently light shades of lavender have caught my eye. Can this love go two ways?

Roleplaying is a favored pastime, and has been for the past twelve years. Literate and semi-literate, human and humanoid. Certain fandoms are up for consideration, as are the categories fantasy, high fantasy, science-fiction, historical-fiction, adventure, disaster, dystopian, horror, thriller, and supernatural.
