Wow, I'm finding a lot in common with various people here.

Did someone say nerdy band kid a few pages back? I was actually trying to go to a music college before I had my anxiety/panic breakdown. I play flute and piccolo primarily, but I know some percussion, and I've tried to teach myself piano.

Pets-wise, I've got 3 cats, 2 corgis, a bearded dragon, and a betta fish. That's actually a low amount for my family...We used to (at different times) also have 2 hamsters, an entire tank full of guppies that bred way too much considering the tank size before they turned cannibalistic and ate each other, and various other lizards (Including a Schneider's/Berber skink, an eyelash crested gecko, another bearded dragon, a corn snake, and many different anoles) The reptiles and betta fish have all been my brother's, and the hamsters were mine, while the cats and dogs are family pets. I'm considering getting a snake at some point, but I'm not sure. I'd like a ball python, but they can get to be pretty big and as I've never owned a reptile before might be a bit too much for me to start with. I've heard gopher snakes are another decent option for beginners...

When it comes to talking about dating with friends, this was before I'd figured out there was a word for my complete and total disinterest. My one friend was totally set on finding me a guy, so it got to the point where I made up a fake long-distance boyfriend/love interest who 'lived' near my cousins' house in another state. I even showed her on google maps where my cousins' house was and how 'his' was right next door. Sad part is she totally bought it and never mentioned him again. XD

I've been thinking of buying a snake. My mom is terrified too, and keeps making excuses why she won't let me get one (Room isn't clean enough, didn't do enough chores, etc.) While making my room messier -.- And she took my snake fund. I will get that snake tho. It's gonna happen.

I havent decided yet. I havent been researching that much since i wont be getting one any time soon ^^;

I'll probably be looking into snakes that are small in size and have a general good temperament - something easy for beginners.

Little snakes are super cute, but super fast! I've seen people recommend... corn snakes and milk snakes mostly. I'm looking for like Boas and Pythons, big things! They move way slower and don't eat as often, which is good for me! And good for my mom because she doesn't like the ones that move quickly :P

Normally i'd go for a bigger snake, like I absolutely LOVE pythons! But the only issue for me would be space, because once im on my own, i'd need to take into account how much room i'd have for a bigger snake/adequate tanks and such.

From the research I've done, they don't need that much space (If it's like a 6 foot snake) since they coil up. Basically, if you have room for a desk, you'll have room for a snake tank. I recommend doing your own research tho, i've only looked up stuff for Boas

They're pretty docile creatures. The only excersize they really need is the one they would get from you just handling it. They mostly just sit there, they're cute and dumb
