Please read all the way through this before pressing support or no support.

A lot of people would like to see sub male breeding. It has been said sub male breeding will be rejected, especially as it would make the point of heirs and such useless, BUT I think this might be a compromise. Also, I found this later. It is similar to mine, but addresses problems a little clearer: Another Breeding Suggestion

This could be in the last tier of the February or August Event. For a certain price, you could pay to have one of your sub males breed to a female in heat in your pride once per day. The price would be pretty high (you'd have to pay each day) and I don't think this would interfere with heirs and such. Plus being in the last tier it wouldn't have that many days and this is only one month out of the year.

Also, with this the sub's stats would not count. Only the female's would count. OR possibly just give the cubs NCL level stats. With the August event this would replace the studs before or be added on.

As commented below, another option would be for sub males to only be allowed to breed on Saint Patrick's Day, the lucky day. This would be a once a year breeding. Once again I think it should come with a cost. The girl would have to be in your pride and in heat and each sub can only breed once (or only one sub can breed only once). The NCL stats/female's stats only should also apply to this.

So basically:
- Last Tier Event or One Day Thing
- High Price
- Female must be in your pride
- Female must be in heat
- Can only be used once a day
- Only one sub male can be chosen per day
- Cub stats will be taken from the female ONLY or given NCL stats

I really don't believe this would hurt the stud market or cub market. It's a one event/one time thing that would have consequences for those who want to do. This would not be outright changing the purpose of subs, just mixing it up and making things fun once a year.

Just an idea. I'd love to hear what you guys think. Is this something you would like to see? Do you have something to add? Thank you for reading! And if you say no support, if you feel like it, could you please explain? I can't do anything without feedback.

I like this idea, but would prefer it be during another month, since feb is already PACKED with good stuff.

What month would you say then? I was thinking February with Valentine's Day.

Yea it would make the most sense to be during feb, but this month might work too? Since its champion month. We dont really have anything that good in the shops besides torts and decor. Regardless, I like the idea :)

I don't know if the admins would do this.
Regardless of what adjustments have been made, they've explicitly said several times, Submales will never breed.
Good adjustment to make it fit in though!

Most of the sub male breeding suggestions I've seen have been pretty vague or too loose. I thought something more strict like this might be better if it is ever going to happen. If this one, with everything in it, is rejected, then nothing will ever happen and I will give up all hope.

This is a good suggestion, but like Locust said February is already completely full of stuff. I think like you say this is different from other submale breeding suggestions as its an event thing, so it would only be around for a short time every year. Like the NCLs that get released with event markings I guess

I think the fact that February is so full is almost an advantage. It forces people to choose what they want so the sub male pretty wouldn't be crazy. Thanks for the thought!

Ok, I've updated this as also an August consideration. So, either February or August.

I support this, but to also add that March should be an option. January is the start of the year and February has a lot going on, March doesn't have too much and because Saint Patrick's Day is the lucky day, that should be sub breeding day. August is the start of school for many places, so that should be reconsidered. I was thinking more like October as Halloween takes place.

The March is a good idea! I'll add that in as, I guess, a once a year breeding option.

What's the point if all the criteria is so specific?

Some people want to breed. Sometimes I wish I could breed my sub even once because I like the way he looks. I figured that for those who want sub male breeding would get it, but the criteria would keep things from getting out of hand.

If you're going to make the process that complicated it's more beneficial to just wait until you king the sub, in my opinion.

But like with me, I intentionally don't want my sub to be king. I keep them around for patrolling, sparring, etc. I often write stories about them with my pride. I would have given just about anything to breed my one sub with my one lioness simply because of a story I had written about them. The male wasn't even all that pretty, I just wanted even a single cub for the sake of it.

I don't think "I wrote stories" is a very valid argument for this suggestion...you basically want to breed for canon purposes, but what effect would it have on the game? There's a reason lions die.
