September Event Guide
September Event News Post

septemberbanner.jpg
The droughts ended with a massive wet season, which has lead to increased Desert Locust breeding activity! While the outbreaks affect mostly humans, the swarms are slowly moving over lion lands. Some are huge enough that they cover the entire sky and induce fear in animals. Any locust kill helps out the landscape from being completely devoured and herds migrating away. Some choices you take while exploring affect the locust numbers, and some will be purely selfish. Which ones will you take?

Welcome to the Locust Plague event!

All throughout September, you will battle hordes of locust, and meet some interesting animals in Explore that you can convince to join your side against the pesky pests!

The currency for this month is icon_beetlejewel.png Jewel Beetles!

Jewel Beetles can be found in Explore, or in other users' den pages!

All biomes will have the Explore Encounters!
Biome, karma, and level do not matter for events.

This month, we are working to unlock four tiers of one single area.
The first three tiers are for the Prophet Shop, and the fourth tier, once unlocked, releases some gorgeous NCLs for your kings to claim!

User Den Locust Swarms
When you go to a user's den page, you'll come across a message that looks like this:

rUi2kvn.png

If you choose "Stomp", this is the message you'll see!

4NHfq5Q.gif

If you choose "Chase", you'll get a more polite version.

jHBzkWQ.gif

You do not need the 1000 SB karma expansion from the Quests & Snakes page to see the +/-1 karma change! It automatically shows up.

You can stomp or chase locusts from other users' den pages every 30 minutes. While it doesn't offer much JB, it does add up, so make sure to set timers! You should also try to stomp or chase users you see in chat, because if you go to an offline user's den page, you'll get this message:

IgsHyXo.png

Have fun leaving little notifications on other players' dens! <3

2uN12Fo.png
Explore Encounters
All encounters this month show up in both Day and Night time, except for one.
There are also five encounters that will only show during Wet Season.
Please also note that all "# Locusts Killed" are estimate numbers, as they are all random.

Locust Wing Crafting
While exploring, you may come across an encounter that will award you with a Locust Wing!

locustwing.png

If you manage to collect at least 30 of these gross wings, you can craft them into wearable decors for your lions at Monkey Business! The decors are Locust Wing Decor - Body, Locust Wing Decor - Ears, Locust Wing Decor - Gust of Wind, and Locust Wing Decor - Neck.

locustwingsbody.pnglocustwingsears.pnglocustwingswind.pnglocustwingsneck.png

When you craft them, there is a random chance you will receive one of the above--you can't choose which one you'll create.
Here's a Prophet-marked lady modeling the decors!

You actually need 30 Locust Wings to craft a decor, not 15.
