Welcome to the Guide to Currency

Goal: Showing you how to obtain and sustain currency, without having to purchase currency from the Oasis. Unless it's an insane goal like buying a Leopon, that will take quite a while!

In my efforts to scrounge up USD to buy currency for this game, I realized that I wasn't really experiencing the game! It's supposed to be a bit of a challenge, don't you think? So, this is both a guide and a personal experience as to how to get from square one (no currency) to square two (more abundance in currency).

Square One: No Currency

Starting at the tip of the iceberg! There's multiple ways you can start off with gaining currency, and I will share my expertise with you (It may not be the most flawless, but it's my best!).

Start: Explore!
ALWAYS use that energy, it is officially your best friend! In explore you can find insects, explore only decors, and even small amounts of currency. :) In Monkey Business (found in explore) you can trade in Large rocks/leaves, insect decors, feathers, and carcasses for SB. There is other items you can trade in, but it is up to you depending on the situation of your lions.
l5gZIYn.pngNn1zpYX.pngxvnpXIj.pngNote: When exploring, you can also claim lioness and sell them for fodder! Even better, if there are any new NCL exclusive markings, you can get the drop and sell all them for a bit more! I've seen prices range slightly. Fodder (not exclusive) hovers around 10-40 sb a lion, unless there are some out there who sell for 1-5 sb (which I have seen). Some players are on the hunt to gain karma, so always keep this idea in mind if you need a few extra tasty beetles!

Step 2: Hunting!
Hunting is the one of the BEST things you can do to get currency; the more carcasses you have, the more overflow you have after feeding your lions each day. I personally have been in the game a while, so every day I have expiring food to sell immediately. All you gotta do is go to Monkey Business, and at the right of the monkey is a red button that says Sell Rotting Items! <3

Step 3: Trivia!
Trivia is a newer feature to Lioden. You can go to explore, then to Games, and trivia is on the bottom right. There are guides to Trivia out there that will tell you the correct answers, but maybe try your luck first, see what you know! Levels are simple:

Easy - 10 SB
Medium - 15 SB
Hard -20 SB

You can answer 3 questions a day, which is up to 60 SB! <3

Step 5: Raffles!
Once you have gathered up a good chunk of feathers and skulls, you could even raffle them off! Selling them may be worth more, unless you consider stacking. :) Monkey Business should be popular by now right? Well, if you go to the bottom of that page, you can see that there are many decors which can be crafted by 30 of that item. For example, lion skulls and white lion pelts. You can gather 30 of each, and create the Ancient Lion Mask decor, and the Flesh of the White Lion decor. With these, you are more likely to gain more profit for selling them! <3
If you have way too many of the same feather, those can also be crafted into feather decors. Patience is always key!

Step 4: Save, Save, Save!
Savings is the biggest component to having more currency to purchase what you may need. Be sure to think about and item before you buy it; is it worth your currency? One of the things I like to think is- Is this item going to be a benefit to my hard work?

Square Two: Currency

Start: What do I do with it?
Well, there's really only two things you can do it! :D You can either save it or use it, and it's completely up to you! There are a few things you can do to afford more valuable items as well, using Gold Beetles. Be wary though, as soon as you reach 5,000 SB on one account, your chances of getting SB in explore are very slim. In this instance, Take all that SB and put it on your side or main account, the one that you spend most of your explore energy on finding event currency rather than fighting NPCs. :)

Step 2: Beetle Conversion
To afford those more valuable items you wish to have, and with all the SB you have, why not convert it? You will need to go to the trade center and either search for a GB for SB trade or create your own trade! This is how your trade will look like once it's up:
YdAVRzL.pngSwd0PVy.png
Creating your own trade:
Give it a name, preferably a name that will attract attention- Looking for GB! or: SB for GB!
The left side of the Create a Trade page is the things you are offering, things that players are looking for!
The most common trading amount of SB is 1,000 or 1,200 (Which may take a couple in-game days to get), but in certain months it varies between 900-1300 SB. Once you have put in the amount you wish to offer, Write in the "Or, I want in return..." that you need a GB. :) You can offer in larger quantities if you need more GB, but it may take more time to get someone interested or you'll have to make them individual trades. :)

Step 3: Simple Make Wise Decisions!
Saving up currency can be very time consuming but rewarding! What you want to do is save up currency to a point you can spend without having to be broke again. Participating in the monthly events are EXTREMELY helpful in ways of earning currency. For most months, Exploring is the key to getting event beetles, so again, use up that energy! As the tiers of events unlock, ask around to see which items may be of the most benefit to your savings. Applicators and breeding items are almost always on the want list for players, so keep your eyes peeled for them during events. Certain items may be much cheaper during the month it comes from, but the prices will go upwards once the shop is no longer open, thus the supply and demand will rise.

I sure hope you found this helpful!
If there was anything I didn't cover, please mention it in the comments below, and I will either explain or add it to here. :D Thank you!

Wonderful guide Smo, I'll be sure to save it :)
I would personally say that the most common sb to gb conversion rate is 1200sb per gb, it's what I see most often when people want the 'sb equivalent' for lions/items etc. The conversion rate does also fluctuates a bit more, the best time to buy gb is definitely January, with prices as low as 700sb, and the worst is probably around November/December when it sometimes hovers around 1300-1500sb.
You may also want to add in about the 5000sb cap for finding it in explore. Fighting everything on one account and clicking through for event currency on the other is a good tactic. I keep all my sb on the account that isn't doing the fighting so I can keep gaining more.
Again, fantastic job, the formatting is great and I'm sure it'll be extremely helpful to a lot of players ^^

Just want to add:
Save money by using the bundle feature in your Hoard, that way you won't waste money because it's immediately on-hand and because of misclicks.
