The December event, as it stands, has a pretty big imbalance between pooping and gifting.

Pooping costs you nothing, requires no thought, and lowers karma.
Gifting causes you to lose something of yours, requires thoughtfulness, and raises karma.

Essentially, this is a fabulous event if your lion is evil. But good lions definitely get the short end of the stick.

Therefore, I propose that the 'gift' option instead generates some sort of game-generated present for the other person. Perhaps the items could be exclusive to December - I propose items that can be crafted into special event decors, similar to gem/locust wing crafting.

People who want to give people presents from their wishlists or whatever can still do so outside of the event.

Let me know what you think!

What if instead of generating the person being gifted a gift, you still had to give the gift, but you get a stink bug c:

-or-

going with what you said,
generating should be optional. Because there really are people who want to gift other specific items in this events fashion.

I like Heda's idea of gifting giving you +1 Stink Bug, personally. It doesn't even have to be 100%, maybe a 25-50% chance of getting a stink bug every time since you can still mass gift with junk if you really wanted to. Gifting benefits the gifter as well as the receiver (which makes sense because, as you said, it requires the gifter to lose an item) while pooping really only has a chance to benefit the receiver if the bundle contains a stink bug.

I also like your idea as well though, so support. As you said, you CAN still give people stuff from their wishlist if you wanted to.
