I saw MANY a base suggested called "strawberry"....and I thought to myself: Why do none of these look like strawberries?!?!? So I took it upon myself to make a base! ...And a mane base, as an afterthought. I decided to base it off of: 1) a strawberry (duh) and 2) ticking! what better way to get in those strawberry seeds! So here's what it looks like:  Full Size Strawberry 1.2! Darker seeds suggested by Greenbirb!  Full Size and for a slightly more realistic color.... (though when has realism stopped lioden?)  Full Size NEW! By popular demand: INTENSE! (and some even-more strawberry themed design elements) 2.1) The original, with intensified red.  Full Size 2.2) Intensified + White core flesh  Full Size 2.3) Intensified + White core flesh + orangey inner flesh (I'm rather proud o' this one)  Full Size 2.3.1) Aaand for those who think the white is best left to markings, here it is without the core.  Full Size I really hope you like them, and if you do support, please leave a comment telling me which version you're supporting! Totally open to suggestions! All criticism welcome! My other base suggestions: A Pair of Cherries: Rainier and Tieton! Rawhide: A Light Countershaded Cream |

Too much like Cinnabar. I would change the colors, maybe try for a bit more red, and maybe throw in some white or something instead of a lighter pink.  0 players like this post! Like? |

I don't support, it looks too close to cinnabar and I don't think bases should have special "effects", or in this case, seeds on them. That's what markings are for. Sorry :( 0 players like this post! Like? |

@flash Several bases have the same light spotting as celestial speckles, and....lord, have you seen the new base coming out? heavily disagree with you. @vour: mocking up a deeper red right now. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Al ah, well I was MIA for the time all those came out, so that's on me, sorry ^-^'' I still stand by my point as ceelestial speckles could be interpreted as the shining light from the sky, but strawberry seeds are on the lion itself, but good luck! I quite like it myself ! It does look a bit like Cinnabar, yes, but the lighter coloring of it / slightly more realistic version definitely makes a difference between the two. Though, perhaps you could add a more red tint / red shading along it to make it look even more like a strawberry ! 0 players like this post! Like? |
