No support because I hate anything that targeted. Everyone or no one. I hate that the eggs break at all. Last year my main couldn't even get all the decor he wanted even without donating any. I was so hopeful with the rise in drop rates that this year I'd be able to get all the decor I wanted and still donate to the spring, but no. Now they're smashing currency so I'm not giving it away. I feel like I'm being punished for having lots of time to spend on Lioden and it's making me less inclined to spend any time on Lioden.

maiq i agree with your point, and it's also a good illustration of the effects of this feature being blanketed. but the feature was added for a reason and i don't really see them removing it unfortunately. i was hoping this would be a good compromise -- an attempt to control the hoarding while avoiding punishing everybody else and sabotaging the donation tiers

as for getting the decor you want; perhaps the amount of eggs for it to take effect could be adjusted?

the new mask feature has made finding eggs just that much easier (as well as hella cool new decor) so this feature is definitely needed to stop people hoarding (and getting a ton of egg yolk for the market), especially after the donation tiers didn't get fully unlocked because people refused to donate for stupid reasons

maybe raising the set amount a bit would help but after 200-300 it's p much pointless hoarding any more eggs, especially since it's so easy to get them back after spending them. we need the donation tier to be opened for once!

I was planning on waiting till the first shop opens up, buying decors I wanted and then donating what I don't use and so on, rinse and repeat. I didn't realize the eggs broke though???? I didn't see that on any of the forum announcements???

Voluer, apparently there's a new feature where eggs break after people get a certain amount hoarded but it's affecting everyone instead of just the hoarders. the eggs break when you're trying to get them in explore so it doesn't effect the ones you already have (i don't know the specifics so take it with a grain of salt)

but basically sake's saying we need the egg breaking feature to only affect the big hoarders (aka people with 300-500+ eggs) instead of everyone (people with 0 eggs are now getting affected) otherwise we're all getting punished for a few people deciding not to donate for no reason and/or egg yolk market

I feel it's unfair that people with big hoards will be affected.

I myself may collect lots of eggs due to having lots of spare time; I would not want my eggs cracking, as I have spent lots of my own time trying to collect these eggs. And even if I did donate, I'd be super pissed to find that my eggs are breaking despite donating some eggs. (Say I donate 100, but I'm still on 400 eggs total, that means my eggs will still crack.)

Either everyone should deal with it, or none of us.

I think if there's a chance of the eggs to break, it should affect a percentage of all eggs gathered, regardless of the player's current egg hoard. It should not be used as a feature to discourage hoarding more than a certain amount, but it could be used to add extra difficulty to that for everyone.

Or they should do away with it completely.

People shouldn't be penalized additionally for choosing to spend their event currency on something other than donating. If the donation tiers don't open due to too low of donations, that is the penalty, and should be the only one, like last year's April event.

No support from me because of this. Everyone or no one, that's my say.

I have no opinion on this suggestion, but problem with that "penalty" you mention is that for the most part the people who didn't donate didn't care about the donation tiers. That's why they didn't donate: they wanted decors/yolks more than they wanted the donation tiers. The people who did care about the donation tiers did donate, and they ended up with no eggs and no tiers. Donators were the ones who were penalized, not the non-donators. I don't think a penalty that punishes you for what other people did is a good penalty at all.

I would love for the breaking to be removed too and I dont support this either.

Honestly, wanting to limit egg hoarders is not a good enough reason to target them even further. There is now going to be a limit on Egg Yolks (as it seems we will be able to use only 10 a day or 20 if you use it on two lions). Not to mention they moved Egg Yolks to 3rd tier. This could have helped. But then they ruined it by raising the Egg Yolk price to 20 CE. Why? Wasnt the goal to make people WANT to donate? Then why even raise the price? This will make people hoard CEs.

Not to mention it isnt just egg yolk buyers, who hoard the eggs. There are multiple tiers for the event and people might want to wait with buying until every shop tier is opened. They are punished for nothing. There are people who are waiting for end tier decors too.

So this all breaking thing worsens the situation even more.

If you want hoarding to stop, then lower the price back down to 15EC and remove the eggs breaking feature. There would be more CEs, which means even those who are collecting for Egg Yolks would donate because they know they can easily buy them without needing to rely on hoarding.

10 Egg Yolks are still 10 and with them costing 20CE now, you got to pay 200CE a DAY to use those 10 limited slots. Even if they cost just 15CE, it is still 150CE a DAY. Maybe lower the price instead?

Removing the breaking feature would help a ton as it is.

i think the main reason it was added was the donation shop people, i'm not sure if it'll be a feature that'll be removed if that's it's only purpose

the main issue with the feature itself is it's punishing donation shop people even more instead of other people, hell it'd be fine if it was removed and they found another way to sort it out but the topic is about adjusting the feature instead of "everyone or noone"

I think the thing is; is that not enough people are donating.

There's quite a lot of people donating, sure, but it just isn't enough. I spend most of my time on Lioden and I pretty much donate everything. I bought one blue and one yellow flower and the rest I've donated, and will continue to do so until at least one tier is unlocked. (In comparison to those whom don't donate, anyway. Perhaps? I wonder if there's a way to see the overall donaters?)

Otherwise it seems pointless to have this donation pool. To which I then question... is it pointless?

Granted it's also only 4 days in and last time I checked it's nearly over half way there. Sure, I have no eggs to spend when it does happen, but hey hoh. (I personally like donating just cuz. I'm not fussed all that much whether I get anything or not.)

I think what irks me is the idea of like, those that hoard and then also get to go 'oh yeah I'll nab something on the donation pool that I didn't contribute to. I have all these eggs anyway.'

But then some will say that's not fair for only those whom donated to get all the goodies! But currently I wonder how that is unfair...? Which is a serious question and not a chance for me to stick my tongue out.

Although it could then be abused. Having 400 eggs and being all 'lol donate 1'

However if you then got, let's say.. you donate 80 eggs or so. Congrats you've reached over the peak to get the third item/thing/event in the donation pool. Donate 1? You unlocked the item on tier 1. Etc.?

This way.. those whom aren't interested in the donation items don't get them. Those that work hard get their rewards?

What help is punishing hoarders?

They'll think, "Oh, my eggs are breaking, and not the people who have less eggs. Because I'm losing out on eggs, I'm not going to donate because I need every egg I can get."

This will just make everything worse, in my opinion.

In the end, the people who want to donate will, and the people who don't want to donate won't; unless we can figure out a way to praise donators.

But the reason why people arent donating is because most of them want to buy Egg Yolks instead. And even with the limit of 10 Egg Yolk uses per day, with the raised prices it would still cost 200CE a day. Egg Yolks are simply just so darn expensive. What we need is either a lowering of Egg Yolk prices or an even greater increase of CEs.

If people know they will have plenty leftovers, they would be more willing to donate.
