So I've got the full version of sai from the site and I'm finding myself increasingly frustrated with the limited amount of brushes, and always paranoid about getting a virus from a download site. If anybody can recommend me a few downloads for paint tool sai brushes that are safe, easy to download and virus free that'd be lovely ;w;. Also possibly how to install said brushes~
Things I'm especially looking for
Speckles/Scattered dots/splatters (I really like freckles)
Fur like textures/grass texture/dirt/water ect
Any kinds of overlays too would be cool~
misty/fog sort of textures,
plus anything else you could recommend,

You can definitely check out the free brushes people put on deviantart for sai. They usually have instructions too.

Again I'm just one of those people whos super nervous about using sites that might have something nasty attached to the files like virus or malware so I'm hesitant to really trust all the links from deviantart

Most of the sai brushes have to be manually made by you. All my sai brushes are from settings I've taken from other people, there is no direct way to import any kind of sai brushes - therefore, no risk of malware.

I would also recommend installing Microsoft Security Essentials (if on windows) to at least add some basic security to your computer, as if you're getting all kinds of malware from hunting for art brushes it isn't saying good things to me!

Ah when I say I'm worried about it, its more like irrational fear because I've yet to try it. I did have my computer stuck in a feedback loop a couple months ago so I guess that has me extra wary ;w;. I'm probably fretting over nothing though. Don't remember exactly what security I have for my desktop atm but I believe its something we got through geeksquad possibly? And I think from what I've seen some people make a certain pattern for the brush and what not and you add that to the files where a certain texture or shape for a brush might go? Originally on my old laptop I'd had a friend just copy her sai files and send them to me through skype and she had a TON of these useful brushes like for grass, fur all that good stuff hence why I'm dying to get my hands on them. But thank you for the advice!

Yeah i was worried enough when I got caught in a feedback loop and had to factory reset (managed to save most of my data however phew) so I've been extra cautious. It was also an extra pain reconfiguring my two monitors and then a lot of my games just took straight up over 12 hours to reinstall. Yknow after all the actual required stuff i.e. Internet explorer and such. Thank you for the advice!
