i LOVE the marble one!! the little speckles are perfect *__* the only thing i'd add is maybe a little bit of gradient where the freckles are? <: O and some more sparse freckles (u can never have too many) maybe on the legs or tum!! but its lookin real good so far 👌 0 players like this post! Like? |

I think you sjould put faint stripes on oak! And a light underside so its more woody! For the marble, maybe you could do lines and dots so its more veined? I love it though, awesome! 0 players like this post! Like? |

I really really support this for the Charcoal base. It looks like they have eyeliner holy god yessss! And the multiple shades of blue-black, oh my god it's so pretty. Marble also is really neat! The flecks is a neat interpretation of marble veins! However, I really feel that if Lioden is going to add more of the 'wood' tone bases, there needs to be something to make them a little more visually appealing. Perhaps slightly more bold variations in colour shading akin to the Charcoal are in order? I'll be completely honest in saying that most of the wood-colour bases all just blur together and I cannot for the life of me ever tell which is which at a glance like I can with more detailed colours. They seem very flat and uninspiring, aside from the tones like Chocolate and Cocoa which have that beautiful warmth with offsets the flatness. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Hi all, addressing several points here :0 First off I wanna say these (and all further bases I will post orz) were decided on while looking at the genetics wiki - I wanted to suggest enough to give all gene groups (Countershaded/Solid Dark/Medium/Light Common/Special etc) 6 bases each! I did think about giving Marble some lines, but I think it would look like it had markings on top of the base - but, Marble with onyx/gold/white cobweb...  As for Oak, I did actually want it to be simple, because it's a solid base, as opposed to a countershaded base ^^ if It was countershaded I definitely would have given it some more depth and maybe some lines simulating the age lines in wood, but then it'd fit into Countershaded more than Solid. 0 players like this post! I learned a thing! I've never actually been entirely certain what 'countershaded' referred to exactly, but now I know. In that case, it makes perfect sense for the oak to be like it is. That said, that'd be a fab addition to countershaded if you ever decided to do some forestry themes for base suggestions. There's some amazing patterns in wood out there that would translate in a wonderfully natural way to a lion if done right. I always love seeing your suggestions pop up, and these recent ones are no exception. ♥ (If Marble gets put in, though, totally gunna attempt that onyx/gold/white cobweb. I hate the marking normally but it has *potential* with this base.~) 0 players like this post! Like? |

I have a heck of a lot of bases planned ( so many... pls help) and some (such as Maple and Walnut) are going to be countershaded creams, so are going to be brownish and tree... ish 0 players like this post! Like? |
