Pretty simple suggestion. I've noticed, as a writer, that Lioden's events are . . . Badly written. Not to be rude to whoever's doing it, but I'm not wrong; as someone who writes professionally it hurts my heart.

Other sites have paid writers that do dialogue, wiki pages, everything. I know because that's what I do. It's not as expensive as one might think and a big site like LD could afford it.

I think that there needs to be someone hired to write storylines for the events.

If you support, great, if you don't, whatever.

Oh Lord yes! As a paying member, or what I consider one anyway with buying currency fairly regularly, I'd love to see them hire an actual writer! Put my money to good use and better the site! Yes the site is awesome but it could be so much better with a little tweaking by people who know what they're doing, ie: writers writing the storylines.

Here's the thing, the events are awesome, the ideas behind them are aweso,e, but the execution is not. It would be like you or me hiring an artist to draw an OC the OC is ours, and everything about that OC's history, personality, and being is ours, but the artist would help bring it to life through our description and detail. Writers can do the same.

I couldn't do that though if it was my work I'd be proud of it I wouldn't want someone else taking my ideas and doing it their way

Staff can give ideas and feedback on the event and the writer(s) would bring their vision to life with more clarity and focus without losing the initial thing that made it special in the first place. Or at the very least they could hire editors to double-check their work.

Okay prof reading and editing would be nice to fix the spelling and grammar errors but I like the stories as they are
But I do agree with Asher the item descriptions need work

The events aren't even super detailed or involved though, so that argument makes no sense to me. They all could be used much more creatively and the staff, should they really care that much, could check in with the writer along the way to make sure it follows their wishes for the story.

At the fuckin least they could hire an editor/someone to review the flavor text, events, item description, etc etc.

It doesn't have to be super exciting, just less.... bland. You can have an interesting story that's not murder and betrayal and violence and incest, but they don't know how to write that. Their most compelling story was Apedemak, which was kinda uncalled for and super abrupt. Nirah was interesting too but the minute you go anywhere that stops, and the demon side was so... flat and cliche. Build a reputation and be evil villain guy. No character development or real characters at all!

The events are okay but the game is great and needs something on the same level so it's not just a drag, and it gets members more involved.

Also, hiring a writer would lift the load off of whoever currently writes. Writing is time consuming.

^ even if the writing was absolutely stunning and without a single flaw, I would still advocate LD hiring a writer simply because of that reason. Writing, editing, re-writing, re-editing, content revisions, grammatical checks- these things all take time. A lot of time. There is probably something better most of the staff could be doing with this time.

It's why the art staff and writing staff of, say, a cartoon, is almost never the same people.

It would definitely free up a lot of space for them to do some of the important things that they're not always doing, like updating the art files.

Also, at least imo saying that the site shouldn't hire writers is like saying they shouldn't hire artists or coders.
