While I think the base is very nice, for now I do not support, as the base is very similar to Ebony, with a few added highlights. Like Jewel said, perhaps you can add some more orangey or pinkish tones in there to make it resemble Sunset/rise a bit more!

I think maybe adding a lighter underside like the color of the exposed sky in the pic you referenced would make it look more different

i tried but the colors end up making a disgusting green hue that makes it look

and dusk is meant to bring impending darkness, hence the idea of it being a possible combo base
i favor darker colors like the deep purple and neutral grey blue

I prefer the original version. I don't think it looks like Ebony at all. There's quite a difference in the two, just going by the color in them that looks the closest.

Your suggestion is more purple-red than Ebony is imo.

The new version isn't my cup of tea though, as the pink(?) on it doesn't seem to fit/blend as well the original. I like the dark paws of the first versus the pink of the new.
