After much talk and work on the idea, this is what I have come up with so far for Hyena scrotums! IDEA 1- 100% chance Hyena scrotums would work similarly to GMO cows, however they would give a 100% chance to grant any mutation that is NOT MOD obtainable, a hybrid, or specifically bred via factors(such as mane noble/imperial and primal fangs). The item would roll per litter and always choose the first cub. Other breeding items such as crunchy worms, buffy scrotes, CRB, GMO(maybe), and Grain of paradise can be used, but they will likely not affect the outcome. Only 1 cub would be born with a mutation if the item alone is used, and the chances of it being anything special such as an AMP, lethal, or bean would be VERY LOW. IDEA 2- 25-50% chance Hyena scrotums would take the place of buffalo scrotums/grains of paradise and not allow for any other breeding item used except for say.. looks passing items or (if it's implemented), warthog scrotum. This is because the item would roll per cub. This being said, the same restrictions as above apply(No MOD mutations, breed factor specifics, or hybrids). The chances would likely be even lower however, of a cub having a worth-while mutation in terms of sales. The exact statistics are entirely up to the staff, but that is basically how it would work! The item will give a HIGH-VERY HIGH chance of a 'normal' or common mutation, such as achromia, melanism, mane muties, overgrown tongue, claws, or teeth, butt lions, bobbies, maneless males, and a very LOW chance for mutations such as dwarf, lethal, double uterus, etc. Specifics are left up to staff because I cannot math :D The item could be in January's Boneyard for 170-200 LB or it could end up in another event! Though since January is the event crawling with hyenas it would likely make more sense since there are PLENTY of hyenas to pick off ;) I'm always open to ideas on how to polish this and make it better for LD!
