A gap between the tiles appeared next to a row of three. It was impossible to get the points of that row and it was not possible to switch it with other tiles either. The row grew and stayed like that for a minute or so. Eventually when the row was four tiles long and the fifth tile couldn’t be placed in the row either, it was possible to get points from the row when tiles above it got switched. Here are screenshots taken over time and a video of how it resolved eventually.

I too have had this issue, for me the empty/missing tile occurred when I clicked and help left mouse drag to try to make another combo, as a combo was being counted.

The game spawned blue beetles and whenever I would try to align them (even though they are right next to each other) or switch them with each other to get the points to trigger- it would fail. When I also moved other blue beetles to that row to try and complete the sequence vertically it locked those beetles as well.

when things are still moving and counting points from a previous slide/move, you can slide another thing, even if its wrong and doesnt trigger points, it will stay where you put it and doesnt slide back like it should.
this has been bothering me a little bit lmao
i submitted a ticket to modbox about it cuz im a dummy, so they sent me here :)

This happens to me frequently, especially if I try playing on a mobile device since my fingers move faster than my mouse.
the tile will move when a cascade is still happening, but wont switch back, and sometime it will become entirely stuck and unable to move again the rest of the game.
