I was curious as males of each breed can actually breed why is it only females have the chance of passing on the mutation? couldn't males do the same at the same percentage chance? just curious that's all, and another mix breed you could try are ligers

This suggestion has 4 supports and 111 NO supports.

Because a hybrid stud can in theory breed hundreds of lionesses in a day if they have the territory for it. A female hybrid is limited to 7-8 heats in her natural lifetime, and having any more requires Yohimbe Barks, which are costly. Hell, a stud's slots for the week are roughly double a female's lifetime breeds- even if it was limited to studding it would be a disaster.

At a 5% rate, which is the same as Piebalds/Patches in testing, you'll have hybrids down to the price of cheap dirty Pies in no time.

This would crash the already unstable hybrid market from a few hundred GB value to pocket change, no support.

Liger = lion dad, tiger mom iirc; I couldn’t see the tiger mom sticking around a pride of lions willingly, much less joining them with her liger cub. We’re fine with Tigons as is.

as agryo said, with the way studding works, it just wouldn't be good for the hybrid markets and it would take away the challenge and value in breeding/obtaining one. however! i have been mulling over the idea that in the future they could implement a hybrid that is intended to be slightly less rare that can pass through studs and lionesses at a rate of like .05% (slightly higher when both parents are the hybrid) ^^ i think that might be an interesting twist, and it would take the pressure off suggestions trying to make current hybrids easier to obtain, while also allowing more casual players a chance at the different lineart :D but honestly the aggression of the player base makes me scared to make the suggestion even just to get feedback because i have no doubt more... serious hybrid breeders than myself will come for me for something LOL

Because the males are supposed to be infertile. They can't breed with any females that aren't 100% fert. No Support this would crash the market so hard.

it's because male tigons/leopons in real life are infertile, always good to ask though!
