Wasn’t too sure which place to put this... or if this has been suggested before. Also, I am no pro at this game and am learning like everyone, please share any critiques or information you have on this topic! I’d love to hear thoughts and opinions, for or against this idea. Basically here’s the thing..... RAFFLE LIONESSES We all love em, we all want em... but obviously only one person can win her a week. And I am very happy for whoever wins her, old or new player. HOWEVER, who I am NOT happy about winning them are players who become inactive. Cmon, you know what I’m talking about... the player we check who won the lioness but hasn’t been active to even see they won her. On the one hand I understand people take breaks, hiatuses, etc. But on the other hand, some people do just stop playing, and it just leaves the beautiful, rare, to die for lioness sitting there. Maybe that is just a painful part of the game? Like breeding potato Cubs (cry) Sooo I’m not sure how it would be dealt with as I wouldn’t want any lioness unfairly taken from the rightful winner. BUT I am wondering if perhaps there could be a clause, for example; if inactive for 3 weeks following the “win”, the lioness could be raffled again? Maybe on the Friday update she could be part of a Katz raffle? Where it would cost however much to enter and she would have the opportunity to become available to players again? Please share your thoughts and opinions! I’d love to hear them :) EDITS: An additional idea: The Hiatus Option (Thank you to user #4627 for contributing to this idea) Too often it is difficult to discern players taking breaks/hiatuses, and users who are simply no longer playing. Perhaps something the mods could introduce to help users tell the difference between inactive vs hiatus players is to create a "hiatus" option. Coming at an accessible cost, of maybe 50SB or so. This would essentially 'freeze' your account, blocking trades, messages, so as not to return you to too much chaos. As well as activating a message on your profile that would indicate you are on a hiatus. |

3 weeks seems a bit too short of a timeframe for my liking, people have real-life issues going on, not to mention the current predicament we're ALL in at the moment. Maybe 2 months or something like that would make more sense. Although that just seems a bit extreme too. We shouldn't be punishing players for not being active all the time, sometimes it's just not feasible. No support.  0 players like this post! Like? |

Very fair points! Thank you for sharing I appreciate it. The 3 weeks was mostly a random example but I do agree that the time frame would be too short. I know it seems invasive for the mods to be going onto peoples accounts/removing the lioness so there would also have to be thought around that aspect for sure. Maybe, the mods could introduce a "hiatus" button/option on accounts, that way players who are just taking breaks can be indicated so as not to confuse inactive versus players taking a break? I understand too, that our user suggestions are always much more complicated when seen from the mod perspective. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I do actually agree with that last point, and I think it would be very helpful in future trading too, perhaps a button that you can pay like, 50sb or something to have a little text bar at the top of your account saying: 'This user is on a hiatus, please be patient for their return!' Or something like that, so it would block any incoming trades + messages so that the user doesn't have to come back to a flood of messages and such? 0 players like this post! Like? |

I dont support for the sake of people who could be taking a break unwillingly, due to life reasons, and being stripped out of a rare lioness they won is surely not cool to return to. Sometimes people take long breaks but still intending to come back, for example being in hospitals for a longer amounts of time. Imagine being down in hospital and coming back to see your lucky won raffle girl have been taken away from you? That's really just not nice. People have different reasons to go inactive, it'd be nice if their right to play as they're comfortable to was respected. Yeah! Maybe I should change my post a bit to include this idea too... Thats a good idea, it could for sure help those players wanting hiatuses, especially the blocking trades/messages. I know it sucks coming back to an account with an obscene amount of notifications and having to delete/sort/filter through them. I'm not exactly sure in what way, but maybe it would also help the mods get a better idea of how many players become inactive versus take a hiatus. Although I'm sure there would still be players taking hiatuses who wouldn't indicate it, so obviously its not a perfect system, but could be beneficial still. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Thanks for the comment Hyena! Thats very true, lots of different and often very personal reasons for absences. This does lead me to think that adding a "hiatus" or some sort of button like that could be beneficial to overall game play, and those taking breaks. It does make me sad though to see a wonderful raffle lioness sitting on an unused account, because I do believe that many players do just suddenly stop playing for whatever reason. No support, yes it sucks that lionesses with rare markings often go to inactive accounts but, this sounds like a horrible system a new lioness is put up every week and this just sounds like "I wanted that lion and I didn't get chosen" I've taken year long breaks due to mentally not feeling well enough to play the game and I'm sure a lot of people do the exact same thing because let's be honest, Lioden is a stressful game sometimes.  However your hiatus idea is one I would support and something I'd love to see in the game if it was a separate suggestion from this I would fully support it. 0 players like this post! Like? |

No support. I just was commenting on another similar suggestion, so will post some of what I said here. Maybe there could be an alternative instead of taking it away from someone who may be going through some real life issues. One thought is if the person who wins doesn't log on with a week, 2 weeks, whatever, a "backup" raffle girl is added in addition to the regular weekly one -maybe with a different base, or marks shuffled around a bit? That way the marks still are out there on an active account, but the person who won the original isn't penalized. As I said on the other, as a raffle girl stalker I know how frustrating it is to see it go toe someone who doesn't log on for months, if ever. I just cant support it going to someone else though just because someone didn't log in. 0 players like this post! Like? |
