Probably the easiest reference would be here on the wiki, which also includes the rough availability of marks in each slot - Raffle Marking Slots

List includes all of tier 2, some of tier 3 (the space+maneater event marks, but they share the tier with event apps and piety/NCL exclusives, which is unfortunate). "Breed-Only" would broadly cover all marks not available via an applicator/oasis, but piety, rosette and RMA-exclusives might not be counted as 'proper' BO/raffle marks, but that varies person to person. Raffle marks are largely released via the weekly raffle lionesses, as well as a very low chance to appear from May groupies and via RMA - but theoretically all marks are available via RMAs except for mottled rosette and stripes, so that's not a very useful metric.

If we want to be really specific there are only two TRULY breed only (as there's 0 chance to aquire them any other way) marks and these are: mottled rosette and mottled stripes.

But usually BO means "Tier 2". If it includes also event marks not available by piety - this varies from person to person. I personally include them.

Well the reason why its actually hard to explain is because there are no breed only markings. All markings can be aquired via breeding, applicator, etc... there are certain exceptions such as raffle marks, but even those start generated and can still be applied with RMAs, same thing goes with rosettes :)
