You wake up as usual to go downstairs and eat breakfast. All through breakfast, you saw your parents whispering to themselves, with the occasional sideways glance at you. As you finish up your meal, your parents tell you that a letter arrived for you. The paper seems fragile and old fashioned, like scroll paper, and you carefully remove it from the envelope. You then open the letter, and carefully read what's written on it.

We're proud to say that you've been accepted into Meadow Blossom Dragon Rescue. Here, you'll help to train and care for the dragons we have. Some are wild ones that give us the eggs we use for bonding practices. Others are ones that have been bred in captivity at the rescue. In the end, you'll end up caring for a dragon one way or another.

Each year, we have something called a Choosing Ceremony, where the students are instructed to place their hand on an egg lined up on a special table for the eggs. If the hatchling inside chooses you, the egg will hatch, and you'll be responsible for caring for it. If the egg you touch doesn't hatch, then you move on to touch the next egg. Once an egg hatches, you and the baby dragon will be bonded. You're responsible for protecting it and caring for it, and vice versa for the dragon as it grows up.

Most of the other dragons are ones that we've bred and tamed ourselves. They're normally used for helping the newest rescue members how to care for their dragon. You'll learn what and how to feed them, keeping them well groomed and clean, and many other things. Sometimes the dragons are friendly, while others are harder to get along with and tame. It all depends on you and the dragon.

With this letter in hand, you quickly pack your things to leave, and no sooner then a week later, you're on a boat with several other kids, ranging from the ages of 16 to 22 years old. The boat soon arrives at an island in the ocean, which you all assume is way off from the coast of Florida, where you started. The island is hidden by an invisibility shield to protect it, with magic that repels any other boats away to keep the island hidden. Once on land, you're lead to a valley by truck, where a huge, magnificent building resembling a school resides. With wide open areas filled with stables, cliffs with caves for housing and for dragons, and arenas to help train your dragons, will you be one of the lucky few to come here for safety and to claim a dragon as you reside here?
