Julian paced back and fourth, his red mane fluttering in the wind as he did, Entirion sat on a rock nearby, looking around at the rugged beauty of their home. "why do you pace and worry my son?" he wondered aloud. Julian stopped, looking at his father incredulously "Why? WHY? well maybe its because the delegates from Rosestar's pride are almost here and the duskhunt huntresses havent returned with a fresh kill yet! I know I should have assisted them." Entirion gave a long yawning sigh "Patience my son, even if duskhunt does not return by the time the delegates arrive, there is plenty of meat to go around, you forget our large mound of kills I have stowed for supper." Julian stammered "but... our tradition is to welcome them with a fresh kill father! they will be hungry after their travels, do you expect us to simply give them leathery rabbits to chew on?" suddenly a little rueppells fox ran out of the bushes and up to Julian "my prince, the hunting party is on their way back, they have a buffalo in haul."said the fox, Julian sighed in relief "Okay... this is good, they have a kill, a buffallo... buffallo is delicious... this is good news Kepler!" The fox nodded and sat by the feet of Entirion. Entirion laughed loudly, it was a booming yet kindly laugh, Julian looked annoyed "do you find this humorous father?" Entirion nodded "incredibly... you remind me so much of myself son! I much like you used to be stressed by the slightest lateness... but I have grown too old to take everything at face value anymore! and as our kill is being dragged in, perhaps you should send out your falcon to find the delegates!" Julian nodded "of course... Lazarus, wake up!" a male saker falcon that had been sleeping in julians made stirred and perched on his head attentively "Yes my prince?" asked the falcon. "go find the delegates, bring them in from the grasslands, its almost time to eat." with a single nod the falcon took off and headed towards the west (Ok, now you can describe your characters traveling up towards the dryer regions that my prides territory is in. take as many characters as you want, of course for reverence, we can look at eachothers characters and the pets they have. sorry for the info dump) @Feather Character SheetsView and Post Character Sheets 0 players like this post! Littlewing looked up at the sun and groaned. These grasslands were much to hot. She preferred the cool trees of their jungle territory. Behind her Cloverpatch called out,”enough! Rest! I need rest!” She flopped to the ground, raising a cloud of dust that settled onto her brightly colored fur. Cloudfeather stood by her sister. “Doesn’t feel so hot to me,” she said.”my only problem is this tall grass. Why’d Rosestar have to send us dwarves?” Littlewing smiled at her. “Because he knew we were the best choice.” She was happy to have a chance to prove herself to her king. An albino honey badger ambled up to them. “I have scouted ahead as you’ve asked, my lady,” it said. “They’re not far now.” “That’s all I needed to hear!” Cloverpatch exclaimed, leaping to her paws. “Hopefully they’ll have fresh food! A Saker falcon flew down from the sky and landed on a dead tree in front of the three little lionesses and their badger "Hello delegates, I am Lazarus! they raced through the tall grass, Lazarus flying on ahead of them. Suddenly they broke out into a shrubland, surrounded by pointed red rock cliffs, many large red boulders where scattered everywhere on the ground, they could see some lionesses sunning themselves and playing around on them, the king himself sat upon the largest one, a fox curled up by his feet. He looked old and wore bone ornaments on his head and body, but he was also quite muscular. A younger reddish lion lay close by him and hopped to his feet as he saw the delegates arrive, he was huge, not quite as big as the delegates king but far bigger than his father. He wore a feather crown on his head and which ruffled as he walked over to them. "welcome! I am prince Julian! its soo good to have you all here." Before Julian said anything else a pale lion with pink accents in her fur ran ahead of him and squealed as she looked at the delegates. "King Rosestar sent dwarves! awwww your all sooo cute! you can come to my hot spring any time!" Julian looked annoyed "thank you... Venus, please remember these are guests, not flirting targets!" he said, Venus stepped back, a big smile on her face, Julian sighed "dont mind her, shes very... err, romantically obsessed." 0 players like this post! Littlewing and her companions bowed to Julian. “We are happy to be here.” She said. “And don’t worry. She doesn’t bother me.” “Or us,” Cloudfeather and Cloverpatch said together. Julian gave them a respectful bow in return. "come come, our huntresses brought you all a fresh kill," he led them all deeper into the rocky Shrubland. the place felt dry and hot, though the temperature here was dropping quickly as the sun began to set, however the dry nature of the land allowed the territory itself to be quite large, and the king most likely faced less competition. Venus tagged along with Cloverpatch "come to my hot spring tomorrow, it will be fuun!" Julian rolled his eyes but smiled as a lovely silver pied lioness dappled with sunset colored spots came up to him, adorned in feathers and furs, a white snake draped around her neck. she rubbed her face upon his in a soft greeting "we have the kill in the center of the stone circle my love" she said, she looked behind her at the delegates "I hope you all are hungry, Im Xia, its good to see new delegates here." 0 players like this post! Littlewing nodded respectfully to Xia, as did Cloudfeather. Cloverpatch, on the other paw, did not. Instead she bounced forward excitedly. “Yes! Food!” She shouted excitedly and raced ahead as fast as her short legs would allow. Cloudfeather laughed at her sister and followed her, while Littlewing bowed her head in embarrassment. “I’m sorry about my companions,” she apologized.”they’re still young and full of excitement.” 0 players like this post! "Its alright weve got plenty of lions that are young and.." Julian wasn't able to finish his sentence before a Little black male came racing up to him "Jules! are we gonna patrol anything soon? im ready! ive been working on my pouncing!" Julian smiled and sighed "No Nightmane, its time for dinner." Nightmane nodded "oh right... ill meet you at the stone circle." and with that he raced off catching up with the other dwarves and greeting them. Cloudfeather and Cloverpatch saw a little black lion catching up to them, he was not much bigger than they where "hey! im Nightmane! you guys are really fast on such small legs!" he said, racing them. Xia and Julian continued at the same pace as Littlewing, Venus had wandered off somewhere. "soo, your king made his territory in the jungle right? how is it down there... Littlewing nodded. “It’s premium land but our king keeps our territory safe,” she said. “Most won’t dare try to take ours because of his size but every so often somelion tries... Tell me, what is it like out here in the rocklands?” Meanwhile up ahead Cloudfeather and Cloverpatch were racing with Nightmane. “You’re fast,” Cloverpatch panted,” but we’re faster!” They reached the stone circle and turned to Nightmane. “Can’t take down a zebra or an antelope if you’re slow!” Cloudfeather roared with triumph, giving her sister a high-paw. 0 players like this post! "we actually used to live in the jungle, but, we accumulated too many rivals. My fathers a bit of a pacifist, of course that didnt mean he never fought, hes quite good at it too, for an average sized male he knows how to use his weight, taught me all I know, but you cant make peace with everylion. we decided to venture farther north until we found this place on the edge of the savannah, at first we thought it was worthless, but then we found an oasis, ill show ya tomorrow!" he pointed his paw up at two red cliffs that spiked up from the ground like teeth "those are the fangs, if you go past them, and the cliffs behind them all that youll find is an unforgiving desert, but theres a spring in between them that flows into a little watering hole.. thats where the oasis is." Nightmane panted as he reached the stone circle, other lions where starting to gather, and the head huntresses where bringing in their best kills "I... am... still, in training." he panted "I could have won if I wanted too.." he said defensively. one of the nearby lionesses laughed at this "yeah right... you couldnt beat a jerboa with a broken leg!" Nightmane frowned "thank you for that... Mischief." he said in an unimpressed tone, Mischief smiled and threw a whole jerboa into her mouth, crunching it loudly in a gesture of sarcasm. 0 players like this post! Like? |
