Deep within the forest Cinder began to ran about, leaping onto leaves, rolling into the smallest blades of grass. She enjoyed the forest at this time of day, the scents were so strong. And all the prey was all hers before the clan cats came out, all hers

Thornstrike trotted out of camp and looked both ways, he would hunt before the rest of the clan got up, maybe the queen's and elders would appreciate some early food. He stopped silently to sniff around some small bushes for mice

Silverpaw padded across the shore of the stream, the clear water spraying onto her pelt and sparkling softly in the sun. She didn’t have any apprentice duties today, and she had decided to take a walk in the valley. Her tail swished gently, and the light breeze made ripples in her fur. She smiled to herself, glad to finally have a peaceful moment all to herself

Dawnswift emerged from the warrior's den, the salty sea wind tussling her fur. The sand was cool under her feet as she patted up to the water's edge, the tiniest waves lapping at the pale-pink pads of her paws. She took a calming breath, and looked out at the sun slowly rising out of the wide expanse of water.

She often enjoyed the peace. Ever since she'd become deputy, there was no peace in her life. Always some cat needed her help, or she needed to organize patrols, or...

She shook the uncomfortable feeling off of her fur. She had to stop thinking. Just...breathe. Her mind calmed, and steadied once more. Determined to ignore anything else but the rising sun, she fluffed her fur against the cold sea spray and watched the sky turn pink and yellow.

Shellstar gently padded out of her cave the layed by the sea, the rocks letting the waves hit them. She stopped and walked into the lovely water,a bright smile forming on her face

A familiar scent wafted in Dawnswift's direction. Shellstar. Turning her head a quarter to the right, she watched Shellstar appear from her den and walk into the sea. Debating whether or not to speak to her, Dawnswift sighed. Maybe peace wasn't the way to live. Stretching her stiff limbs, she lightly trotted over to Shellstar, mewing a greeting. "Good morning, Shellstar," She meowed, up to her belly in water.

The white and cream leader slowly looked at her deputy, the she cat bowed her head " greetings" she smiled and slowly sat down in the water, her paws kneeding the sand gently

Dipping her head in the same greeting, she relished the feeling of sand shifting under her feet as the sun rose higher and higher, warming her back. She swam a little deeper, keeping her head above the water.

After the swim, she stepped out of the water, dripping water. Shaking her fur to remove all access water, she lay in the sun for her pelt to dry.

Cinder looked around now listening to the sounds of the forest that were now louder and clearer to her when she wasn’t jumping around. “The clan cats are awake..” she told herself in a soft whisper. “I need to head home then..”
