Gazestar \\ Mistclan
The hefty tom emerged from his den early before his clan had. Gazestar took a deep breath before stretching and hopping down a couple rocks. A few of his warriors stirred in their den before coming out and meeting around Gazestar. "Mousestep, Rockheart, Thornberry, and Yellowstrike start a border patrol." He nodded them off before turning to a couple of other cats. "Wolftail and Brackenclaw go ahead and gather others for a hunting party." He said with a deep steady voice.

Moonwillow \\ Mistclan Medicine Cat
Moonwillow had awoken before others in the camp and had snuck out to gather herbs that were needed for her inventory. Something about the dewy mornings always put her in the best moods. She began to carry back her findings, nodding to the patrols that were just sent out.

Bearfang \\ Dawnclan
Bearfang opened his big eyes before yawning. 'I don't even want to do anything today..' He thought to himself before sighing and rolling to his paws to stretch. He exited the warriors den and sat by the entrance of the camp, waiting for orders from Dawnstar.

Dawnstar // DawnClan

The sun streamed through the moonwillows draped over her den when Dawnstar awoke. For a moment, she didn't know where she was. Then she knew. She was a leader now.

Yawning, she stretched her stiff muscles. She could hear the Clan beginning to awake outside. Pushing through the moonwillows, she entered the sunlight.

Yowling to summon the warriors, she waited until they all gathered around her. "I want three warriors and their apprentices out hunting," She meowed to the crowd. "Bearfang, you will lead the dawn patrol with Windspirit and his apprentice, Duskpaw. Now go!" The warriors trotted away.

Bearfang // Dawnclan
The tom stood and nodded before glancing around the gathering cats for Windspirit. He hoped that this patrol would go rather easy and problem free, but if not he would be happy to take care of the problem. “Windspirit,” He caught sight of the warrior and trotted towards him. “Are you and Duskpaw ready?” He asked. Bearfang appreciated a strong cat like Windspirit, he didn’t know the tom as much as he would like, but from what he did know he knew he was loyal and trustworthy.

Windspirit // DawnClan

Windspirit nodded silently, Duskpaw next to him. "Let's leave, then," Windspirit grumbled, already walking towards the camp entrance. Duskpaw followed him, his ashy pelt rippling.

Bearfang // Dawnclan
Bearfang turned and led them through the camp's entrance. He trotted towards the east side of the Dawnclan's border. His nose constantly sniffing the bushes and trees that they passed in search of any foreign cats, foxes, and prey. As they approached the border of Mistclan he scrunched his nose and flattened his ears against his head seeing a small she-cat in the distance. "I didn't catch anything along this border, did you guys find something that I missed?" He asked turning the direction of Windspirit and Duskpaw.

Moonwillow // Mistclan Medicine Cat
Moonwillow caught scent of a Dawnclan patrol, her ears turned to the direction that they were coming from. She had gotten so invested in the herbs that she didn't realize how close to the border she was. The medicine cat raised her head and looked at the group consisting of three toms. A low growl arose from her throat before she looked down again, gathering cobwebs.

Windspirit signalled Duskpaw to search the western edge as Windspirit scented the area where he stood, searching for any trace of other Clans, prey or predators. All he could smell was the strong undergrowth. Duskpaw returned, holding a mouse.

Windspirit glanced at Bearfang. "Nothing." He replied, nodding to Duskpaw.

Bearfang // Dawnclan
The brute nodded and signaled his tail back to camp. "Lets head back to the camp, and report to Dawnstar." He muttered before swiftly padding back to the direction of camp. His golden eyes scanned the surroundings, it was a colder morning, the damp dirt felt nice on his scratched paw pads.

As they entered the camp he scanned the area for Dawnstar, and once he had spotted her, he headed in her direction. "Dawnstar," He said with a bow of his head. "While checking the borders, I didn't come across any problems. Windspirit and Duskpaw did not either." He said flicking his tail back and forth.

Dawnstar waited in front of her den, eyes fixed on the camp entrance. When Bearfang appeared, she visibly relaxed. "Thank you," She said calmly. "You may go." Windspirit nodded politely to her, Duskpaw doing the same. "Can I go hunting?" Duskpaw asked Windspirit. He nodded. Duskpaw ran off, followed by several of the other apprentices.

bearfang//Dawnclan
Bearfang nodded. He thought about what he should do next, but decided to go to Rainflower to help soothe his paws. He peeked his head into her den. "Rainflower?" He called out softly.


Gazestar//Mistclan
Gazestar crouched down besides the river. He stared at his reflection before lapping up the cool water that soothed his throat. The leader's mind swirled with thoughts of how to improve his patrols or grow the fresh-kill pile. But the thought that overpowered them all was his journey to the Moonpool. He would have to make the journey tonight, excitement rang through his body, but Gazestar's demeanor showed otherwise. He had until the end of the day to prepare for his journey.

Rainflower looked up at Bearfang and smiled easily. "Bearfang," She greeted, pushing her herbs in her piles. "What did you need?"

Dawnswift watched Windspirit share tongues with another warrior, noticing sunhigh approaching. She would have to go to the Moonpool soon, to become a true leader with nine lives. She shivered with excitement and nervousness.

He moved into the den. “My paw pads, they’re dry and cracked. I was wondering if there was anything I could put on them to soothe them?” He asked sitting down with a soft smile.

Gazestar//Mistclan
The new leader began to make his way back to camp when he spotted Moonwillow also trudging back with loads of herbs and cobwebs. “Need a paw?” He asked before gathering some of the stuff Moonwillow dropped for him to carry. “Excited for tonight?” The medicine cat asked. Gazestar nodded. “I’m just ready to start this new adventure.” He said gruffly.

Dawnstar stood up, stretching briefly in the warm sunlight. She walked into the medicine cat's den, where Bearfang was speaking to Rainflower. "Hello, Rainflower, Bearfang," She mewed. Rainflower smiled at Dawnstar. "Hi. Bearfang just wants something for his paws." Rainflower turned, rummaging through the piles. "Here." She nudged a poultice on leaves toward him. "Rub that on your paws. That will help."

The tom nodded to Dawnstar before turning to Rainflower. “Thank you.” He took the leaves and rubbed them between his paws, making sure they were lathered. He then rubbed his hind paws, he immediately felt better. “Thank you, Rainflower!” Bearfang purred. “Dawnstar, are you excited for your journey tonight?” He asked with a smile.

Rainflower nodded, a faint smile on her face. Dawnstar glanced at Bearfang, a nervous smile on her face. "I'm just nervous," She admitted. "But definitely excited." She mewed softly. Rainflower slipped out of the den, calling, "I'm going herb picking!"

Nodding, he moved out of the den into the camp and sat down. “I don’t blame you for being nervous. I definitely would be.” Bearfang looked to Dawnstar. “But you’ll be an amazing leader, I can’t wait to see what you do for this strong clan.” He said smiling.
