Something I've noticed about the way lioden's battle system works is that it really doesn't matter what your stats are up to a certain point, like yeah if you roll a king with standard stats your stats and levels matter a bit, but there's a cap.
Once you've bred a king above a certain threshold? That's it, the extra stats dont do anything.
My king has 6500+ stats at level 22, he should be able to annihilate anything that stands in his way even if they are a similar level as him, but he *can't*, he still struggles with random encounters in lower level areas even when they aren't things like elephants or rhinos or jeeps and I think thats just, not great. Like I get it, they don't want to make it too easy, but if you go to the trouble of breeding a high stat king or paying for one then I think it should be worth something more when it comes to npc battles. My 6500+ Primal of a king should not be struggling with low level lionesses or jaguars, what's the point of having good stats if they don't do anything? I thought when I first started that they mattered and that having a king with high stats would make the battles a breeze, but nope! It's completely worthless aside from maybe bragging rights! At best they're helpful for lionesses for hunting but that probably has a cap too! 1-2k for the gals is probs the most you need.

It just irks me, lioden's battling system will always be leagues less annoying than wolvden's battling system at least.

You're right. I wish my 3400+ stat king wasn't such a loser. I do better with him when I spam bite/pound, but should I really have to do that?

Lioden's stats dont do anything, true - but on Wolvden, its not much different really?.. Because there stats dont do much either, whether your wolf has 100 or 1000 stats, they will still get their tails kicked by level 1 foxes. I get mine regularily delivered to my 600 stat wolf with 151 strength by "overwhelmingly stronger" level 1 badgers

But yeah, stats on Lioden are pretty much only for bragging rights, they dont affect any features. 100 stats lionesses does the same as 1000 stat one as 10000 stat one in Hunting. King does the same in battling with same stat amounts, also. Its level of the lion and proper strategy used that determines success.

They haven't fixed it there either huh? I haven't battled enough in Wolveden to tell cuz I just, hate the battling system. I never want to use it because you lose so much energy on it and you never know how much its gonna be, at least Lioden you know how much energy youre losing and can choose based on that. So I just, never wanted to level up my wolf and stopped playing cuz there wasn't much to do and the few things you can do take forever to get the rescources/money for.

I think the stats not being worth anything is such bull, if we go to the trouble of training/breeding/buying a high stat lion or wolf there should be some sort of pay off, make it matter and battles and give a boost for rare foods for hunting or smth.

Yeah, its still not fixed on Wolvden yet, you still loose 90% of battles! They're working on skills/battle moves for lead wolves, unlocked by leveling/stats, but they're not done yet and the system already obviously meant to heavily depend on them, so battling is still very broken.

What I hope is they dont implement that system on Lioden. Like, introduce a fighting base where enemies already have their special moves/skills and player is left without them for X/XX months. Lioden battling may be a bit random and sometimes frustrating, but its far more dependant on strategy and using strategy actually greatly improves your winning rates - not Wolvden's case, where strategy means nothing because enemy is just way too overpowered, always.

Oof, maybe I'll try wolveden again when they add and fix some stuff, but for now it's not worth it when you can't fight or even reliably get any good items/income.

I really hope they don't either, the only thing I really want them to change is the affect stats have on battle. And maybe give a boost to primals since all the npcs are always going on about how oh so great and powerful they are. (Even your king does that, even when he's also a primal...) I'm fine with everything else, although to be honest, there isn't much strategy involved in liodens system either. For every battle with the exception of enemies with thick skin I just use pounce and claw over and over till they're down and that almost always works for me.
