Community UpdateAside from monthly event news posts and the 2nd Friday of each month being focused on art/coding updates, all other Fridays are centered around the community!
Official Lioden RaffleLINK - This is our official community update raffle. Everyone gets a chance to win a rare prize, plus something extra for any runner ups. Art and Coding Bug Fixes* Deceased lions only technically had 6 days to be stored within Pride Dynasties before they were deleted - they now have the full 7 days after death as intended * Fixed a minor typo that caused clan invitation messages to break and cut off before they could link to the clan and give instructions on how to join said clan (before and after) - clan invites will now link to the clan and explain how to join the clan * Previewing mass clan PMs will now properly display any HTML included * Previewing new topics will no longer display a wide avatar and player name section, even if your topic contains little content * Spoiler tags now display properly when previewing new posts and new topics * Using a Shadow of Death would set a lioness's fertility to 1% upon aging up to the next full year, regardless of her previous fertility level * The Onyx Rosette marking was pure black on Extra Limbs stage, it has been adjusted to the same hue as other Onyx markings Tag Adjustments* Fixed tag dimensions for 12 images in the August, Doodles, February, July, and October categories * Moved some tags from... - NPCs to Retired (June flood tags) - NPCs to June (Apophis) - August to Landscapes, Lions, and NPCs - Other to NPCs - December to Landscapes, Lions, and NPCs * "Broken" tags that mysteriously disappeared from the game have been deleted * Some tags have been remade due to looking "off"/low quality, containing typos, or not having a frame - they have been deleted and replaced with new versions * A few other tags that were not used have been deleted from the game

This event has been the fucking worst. It's nothing short to infuriating. This event is not fun at all. It's just a glorified June event, but made to be as unfun and unenjoyable as possible. Seriously, who thought it was a good idea to make these stupid npcs so incredibly op and unfair. You don't even talk about it in the last 2 posts as well!! It's such a slap on the face to everyone who plays, I hope that you can AT LEAST TRY to fix the battles next year. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Guys, are you serious?? You were told in a recent post that they not wished they had such a raw update, and that they had done it before, by the way, such events that were updated gradually. Just because they acknowledge what they did doesn't mean they still messed up, and they messed up hard with this event. What bothers me is that at the LAST post for the event, they don't try to say that they're making an effort to fix or even plan ahead for next year, hell, they never did for the last 2 posts either It's one thing to be aware of what happened, it's another to act upon them to fix said problems 0 players like this post! Since when do they have to talk something? Some details they certainly won't tell in order to keep secret. But they will correct and complement the event, because they said it. And even in the exploring was seen, there was also written about the next year, lol. 0 players like this post! Like? |

They made it public, they made a poll ABOUT the issues with the event for everyone in the community to answer, that was 2 weeks ago. They said that they'll be fixing problems and what not to make the experience better, I think in the spam of this whole month they only made about 2 changes that had no real impact. Why would they keep details about the event a secret? The event is already happening, there is no reason to, and yes I understand that they said they'll work on it next year, but couldn't they just prevented this whole thing by fixing at least the BIG problems this year? It just feels off that they wouldn't mention anything about the event in public news posts when they said they wanted criticism and feedback from the community, and when we did, they did next to nothing with it and moved on 0 players like this post! Like? |

They said three weeks ago they weren't planning on making anymore significant changes this year: From Community Update #113: "We'd just like to formally apologise for all the ups and downs over the past few days. There have been a lot of quick fire changes. A lot of upset forum posts, news comments and chat posts. We don't anticipate to make any further changes this year beyond one or two more tweaks and hope that things will settle, but we're taking everything on board for next year." And from Community Update #114: "We really appreciate all of the useful feedback so many of you have given and will take this into account to make sure it delivers as well as possible next year!" From what I gather, they work on things pretty far in advance. They've been planning this version of the event (at least in the concept stage) since July last year at least, when they announced it in the Monthly Event news post alongside an image of a rainbow dragon. They're working on September now, by the poll. If they made more major changes this year to July, that would delay August and September stuff and anything they're working on for Wolvden since it's the same team. People also reacted negatively to all the pricing changes to Tefnut's Temple early in the month, so the devs probably decided it's safest just to let this year play out and take feedback for next time, and this also gives them time to look at all of the site's logs and user feedback to figure out what they want to do. 0 players like this post! I'm sorry but if they werent going to make some much needed foxed THIS YEAR, they needed to just remove the whole event until next year when it would be more ready. Leaving as it was probably the worse thing they could have done. I would have much prefered to have skipped a month event. 0 players like this post! Like? |

You could have turned it off yourself, if you didn't want to see it? I would have been upset if they just disabled the event for everyone and made us wait until next year to get the new Decor items, etc. in the shop. It certainly still has flaws, but too slow progress towards goals>>>>no progress imo. Plus the Murder Stone/One-Way Portal is one of my favorite event features, and it would suck to lose that just because Celestial Explore is flawed. Editing to add: I'm not the devs, so I don't know the reasoning behind stuff like the July Lioness Raffle and Meteor Shard droprate. It is a game balance thing, though, so adjusting those things too much without looking at the long-term affects might be a bad idea. The point isn't about disabling it or not, it's more just that fact how flawed this event is If you couldn't tell, many people REALLY don't like it, to the fact many have just taken an hiatus and wait till August. It would've been one thing if only a small amount were like this, but many people, myself included, were so frustrated to the point of almost just giving up in this event I don't mind slow progress, it's just how bad the battling system and rng in celestial explore is makes it so unenjoyable and just feel like a chore 0 players like this post! Like? |
