It's been a while since I have been on. Would anyone be so kind as to provide an update on how things are going here? I would like to try and get back into the game if possible! Last I was on, everyone was excited about and waiting on Wolvden. April 2020 - ish.

Anything is much appreciated!

I also took a break in 2019-2020, and came back last month. From what I've seen,

- A BIG divide between clean breeding/dirty breeding and clean/dirty lions. aka, there is a greater value for low-gen lions (not a huge ancestry), without inbreeding, and without the "Big Four" (Keyzer Soze, Hot Hot Tater Tot, Boombah, Savannah Prince). People ask if lions are clean or not, its prevalent in sales, and clean lions are generally priced higher because they're clean. Personally, I don't care for a lion's heritage. I just try to avoid inbreeding.

- The July event was changed and feedback was really mixed about it. Maybe it'll get changed again next year?

other than that everything is pretty much the same as I remember.

Any idea on what the average differential is between clean and not as far as pricing? Never really paid too much attention to the ancestries myself, but I can see why others do.

Thank you for responding, as well! It seems like I just need to get caught up on pricing and new bases/markings - which will come with time.

Hopefully the market is better than it was.

It's not huge, clean lions are probably priced like 10-100SB higher, but the big thing is that people may refuse to buy a dirty lion because of their heritage. A lot of people care about generations too, since a G1 (no parents), G2 (has parents), G3 (has grandparents) lion is like, a perfect clean lion. So clean, low-gen lions are the ones being sought for and bought, but I dont know if those traits actually affect the price.

When I price lions, I usually just look for similar ones in the TC and price based off of those. I filter gender, age, base, and maybe stats or # of markings.

Hmm. Thank you for your thoughts and response! I'm definitely a little bit better off now than I was originally. There are just so many directions that someone can go in. Which is cool. Broadens the market!
