Hey, its been three years since I last came on here but I'm a digital and traditional cat artist now :) this place brings back memories of before my small career but I decided to post just a little bit of my artwork/ character designs here, as you may guess they are all cats- specifically warrior cat original characters but some cannon ones to! I hope you don't mind! 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 31/10/21 @ 00:28:56 by Allycat (#142402) |

ah, Thank you! I had to look up how to go I because mine kept disappearing as well, You'll have to upload the image to another image hosting site first, such as imgur, I'll use that website sense I'm familiar with it. You don't have to create an account with imgur, just click the 'New Post' button on the top left corner of the screen, once that happens upload the image or paste the URL, then please right-click or hold and copy image address. Forums and Den pages use html, so you can use <*img src="URL"*> (remove the *'s) and just replace the URL part with the image url you previously copied from imgur, let me know how it goes! best of luck! 0 players like this post! I love how you did a sorta sketchy style on the first one! I always felt there was conflicting opinions on whether or not that style of drawing was, what you could consider I guess “professional”, not necessarily professional, but I currently am lacking a better word I personally favor that style a lot in my own artwork so it pleases me to see I’m not the only one who’ve used it. 0 players like this post! sketchy art-styles are so neat to me, I wouldn't say their exactly unprofessional as I've seen other great artists use a highly sketched out style, for some reason it adds something to it, kinda like the game, don't starve together or even tim burton at some points have used some level of sketchiness to their artstyles! I'm glad to hear you like that kind of stuff! 0 players like this post! Like? |

That’s exactly how I feel. I can’t place my finger on it but something about it I just love. It brings it out more possibly and, in some circumstances, seems to make it appear more realistic as opposed to cleaner styles where I feel the sketch turns out more cartoony. Nothing wrong with that style though, I just prefer my art looking more realistic more often than not. On the plus side, I feel drawing a bunch of scribbly and messy lines is easier to construct than it is to keep to a solid line throughout the drawing You have more freewill I suppose as to the other style I feel it has to be limited. 0 players like this post! totally agree! I had someone tell me that drawing in a sketchy style makes things look unfinished, best possible shut down is that it actually can look more aesthetic or interesting, or even like you put more detail into it, also just saying but you you have a sketchy art style, your probably going to stand out better in a crowd then anyone, pal! so just have a style that you think is best for you! rather then forcing yourself to adapt to an artstyle that makes it feel as if it limits the creative freedom you want. 0 players like this post! That I believe is why I was always conflicted about it as that style isn’t the “norm” for what most would consider finished. I originally started out with that style then tried to adapt to other styles as I believed it wasn’t going to be “clean” or “professional”, however you want to call it, but recently I’ve gone back to the more sketchy style as it’s just more what I enjoy. Granted though, I don’t always use that style, but for a lot of artwork I will. 0 players like this post! Like? |
