Jen's Guide to Combo Bases
A combo base is a breed only base that can only be aquired by pairing 2 specific parent bases together. There is no guarantee of breeding a combo base cub in these pairings, and the chance to get the combo you're trying for can be very low. This guide features all achievable combo bases according to the official wiki page. To check what any base pairing can make, including non-combo bases, check out the Base Outcome Viewer in the wiki! For quick navigation, go to page 1 of this thread and hit ctrl and F to search for a base or phrase! On mobile, use "find in page" in your browser settings.
Universal combo rules
A combo can only occur when each parent has the required base to produce the combo. This means that, even if 1 parent has the potential to produce a combo cub, the other side of the combination is required for the base to appear. For a lion with a combo base to have potential to produce a cub with the same base, a partner with either the same base or a factor of the combo base is required. This means breeding a non-factor to a lion with a combo base has zero chance to pass the combo base. The only way to pass the base of a combo lioness without using a complimentary factor is to use a crunchy worm. This item has a 25% chance to fully clone a lioness, including any base, markings, mane shape/colour and eye type, and therefore does not consider the father's genetics in a crunchy wormed cub. This item also bypasses any additional conditions of the base, such as wet/dry season. Because cubs are generated at the point of conception, all the requirements to produce a given commo (correct bases & time of day/season if required) must be present during the breeding itself. Nothing can change the look of an unborn cub after conception- retroactively changing the base of either parent or the time at which a cub is born have an effect on whether a combo can or has been generated.

In this example table, "EXAMPLE COMBO" can be produced by pairing factor ("A" and "C") or ("B" and "C") Pairing factors ("A" and "B") would not produce the the combo base! Pairing "EXAMPLE COMBO" with any bases on the table (factors "A", "B", "C" or"EXAMPLE COMBO") has a chance of producing the combo base!

Seasonal & Event Combos
Some months and special events change the requirements for certain combo bases to be bred. Just like regular combo breeding, these events never guarantee the ability to breed a combo base but they often increase the chances of rolling the combo base or make it easier to meet the contitions required for a chance to breed the combo base.
Important dates:
July: Pulsar Season October: Temporal Season October: Witch Season December: Mistletoe Season December: Albino Cub Challenge Community Reward
July: Month Exclusive
Outside of July, pulsar can only be obtained through pulsar X Pulsar pairings, but throughout July an Arctic based lion has a chance to produce the pulsar base if paired with Anjeer, Blazing, Inferno or Prune. This event applies to any cub concieved during July only, meaning cubs bred in June and born in July will not have the chance to be pulsar. Likewise, cubs bred in July and born in August will have a chance to be pulsar if the combo's criteria are met.
October: Month Exclusive
Outside of October, temporal can only be obtained through temporal X temporal pairings, but throughout October an unholy based lion has a chance to produce the temporal base if paired with Bast or Sunset. This event applies to any cub conceived during October only, meaning cubs bred in September and born in October will not have the chance to be temporal. Likewise, cubs bred in October and born in November will have a chance to be temporal if the combo's criteria are met.
October: Month Exclusive
Outside of October, witch can only be obtained through witch X witch pairings, but throughout October a Blood Moon, Haunted, Prismatic, Shard or Wicked based lion has a chance to produce the witch base if paired with a lion with the bases Fiery, Inferno, Scoundrel, Xanthic or Hexaplex. This event applies to any cub conceived during October only, meaning cubs bred in September and born in October will not have the chance to be witch. Likewise, cubs bred in October and born in November will have a chance to be witch if the combo's criteria are met.
December: Month Exclusive
Outside of December, mistletoe can only be obtained through mistletoe X mistletoe pairings, but throughout December an Cream, Cream Lighter, Cream Darker or Fawn based lion has a chance to produce the mistletoe base if paired with Citron, Moss Agate, Murk, Bushveld or Green based lion. This event applies to any cub conceived during December only, meaning cubs bred in November and born in December will not have the chance to be mistletoe. Likewise, cubs bred in December and born in January will have a chance to be mistletoe if the combo's criteria are met.
December: Albino Challenge Reward
During December the Albino Breeding Challenge begins, requiring the community to collectively breed 2000 albino cubs to unlock rewards. Once unlocked, everyone gains the benefit of the community rewards, regardless of whether or not they bred any albino cubs themselves. This boost begins from the point the community challenge is complete and lasts through to the end of December. Once the community goal has been met for the challenge, the following breeding bonuses occur: Everyone has a 5% chance to breed a Snowflake-based cub from a pairing of Albino x any parent for the rest of December! Everyone has a 5% chance to breed a Hoarfrost-based cub from a pairing of Interstellar x any parent for the rest of December! Everyone has a 5% chance to breed a Rime-based cub from a pairing of Orchid x any parent for the rest of December! Everyone has a 5% chance to breed a Esker-based cub from a pairing of Reindeer x any parent for the rest of December! These rewards apply to any cub conceived after community goal has been achieved and ends at midnight LDT on the final day of december, meaning cubs bred pre-boost and born after the boost is in effect will not have the boosted chance to be a combo base. Likewise, cubs bred during the boost and born in January will have the boosted chance for one of the listed combos to occur if that combo's criteria are met.

Not together, but Hoarfrost can produce Rime Or other hoarfrosts when bred with the right factors. Jet is used to breed black rose!

Use Ctrl and F on a keyboar or "Find in page" on mobile to look them up ^_^

He is a Snowflake but his mama is Titanium and his dad is Albino! I’m not sure if Titanium can be another factor or maybe it was just extremely random or if there was a boost from the Albino breeding challenge but I thought I would share!

question: to create the Ogdoad- Base, do you have to breed two of the three bases together or all three?
Like do you get Ogdoad by breeding Inpu and Ubaste or Ubaste and Sutekh or do you have to breed all three together
