hey-hey! this post doubles as a search for roleplay partner(s) & an interest check.
i was originally primarily looking for a group of people who'd be interested in a group roleplay on forums! the rp @ forums on here is a little ... stale. it primarily consists of one-liners (hey, no hard feelings towards ya, guys!), yet i'm someone who's looking for a semi-lit group or whatever :^)!! reminiscent of the group roleplays on chickensmoothie/tumblr, specifically! i like both multi-fandom stuff & original characters - though i am specifically looking for human rp, not animal! if you're just looking for a 1x1 roleplay, i don't mind roleplaying on discord.

well, hi again! i'm mainly known as desert on here :^0! i'm twenty years old, primarily going by he/him pronouns. i've been roleplaying for... over a decade, i believe? started out on google+, moved to animal jam, then tumblr, yadda yadda, long story. been on most sites. i'm always looking to get better at writing. it's one of my favourite hobbies! i love world-building, story-building, on and on. i'm an university student (studying cultural anthropology & development sociology, yahoo!), so some of my replies might be late at times! just looking to take it easy n have fun with writing :].

requirements
• please be 18+! i'm twenty myself, and i prefer to rp with people who are around my age. this is for my own comfort -- i have little to no interest in writing graphic explicit scenes.
• i'm looking of people who are capable of typing more than just one-liners, use proper grammar, and so on. i'm not super picky with grammar, but as long as you're capable of writing well-written sentences, you're good! i get difficulty; i'm not english myself. i'd really like it if you're capable of writing at least six sentences, though i highly prefer lengths from short paragraphs to longer paragraphs, and so on.
• individuals who are open-minded regarding lgbt+ things. i will not roleplay with you if you're a bigot. i'm transgender & queer, and i often headcanon characters i write as lgbt+ in one way or another.
• use either ld forums or discord as a primary platform! i prefer the latter due to my slight inactivity on here, but i'm also OK with using ld rp forums as a booster to log on more often x)
• please only apply if you're interested in long-term roleplay!! it's what i'm mostly looking for right now. my former rp partner is on an indefinite hiatus, so i have tons of unused motivation to write lying around :^)!

likes
• fandom-based things, or multi-fandom in group roleplays! i like persona (3 & 5), durarara!!, the world ends with you, pokémon, and more. feel free to ask!
• original characters with a lot of already-existing info, if that makes sense! just, well-written :p.
• i loooove angst. not right off the bat, though! i like slow-burn related to most things.
• i like fantasy, but realism with a little paranormal stuff is good to me, too! i'm interested in gangs (because of durarara!!, my roots lmao) & so on. i like vampires, too! something else i hold close to heart is post-apocalyptic stuff, etc! again, just ask or spark up somethin'. i'm also a big fan of college aus, though those may get stale after a while if it's just that :"D
• i like people who tend to chat a lot, about characters, plot, and so on!
• again; i like slow-burn. if there'll be romance, i'd like it to take a looong time before it actually comes into play. i primarily write male or non-binary characters.
• i also like roleplaying "rewrites" of official content ^.^

i'm not entirely sure what else i should add! just comment below if you're interested - i'd love to see rp examples, too (:0! i can link my rp doc with examples if needed, though some of 'em will need slight modification because it's ooooold :^).
