so uhh
got these beautiful duck feathers out of the water today and brought em home.
There are fuckin LEECHES ON EM, tiny ones.
I cannot find anything online on how to get them off, I got a skull before and boiled it to clean it but I'm worried that could ruin the feathers [and boiled leeches? :,< kinda off putting] I uh I don't know what to do. The feathers are currently in an airtight container and my friend told me the leeches should die overnight without water but I'm reading they could go a month without it.
For context I live in Ireland and nothing here is that scary, so I'm not very worried about them but ick fuck, the feathers are the iridescent ones too so they're real valuable to me.
When I look up stuff about cleaning leeches it always comes up with getting them off your body
