Biography
Ever since she was a cub Elodie never grasped the full scope of the pride dynamics. She was a very independent lioness and would sometimes wish she didn't have the responsibilities that came with living in a pride. Ellie longed to be free of the ties of her family and hated having to make sacrifices for the 'greater good'. As she got older the thought of having cubs made her stomach churn, becoming further entangled in the pride by planting roots was her worst nightmare. When Ahmose put up his last list of breeding pairs she was mortified when she saw her name listed. Ellie begged her mother not to go but despite Wizi's ranking within the pride Ahmose's word was final. Ellie had a hard pregnancy, she was miserable and rarely left the nesting area. Ladice had healers stationed outside her nest around the clock, worried that something would go wrong. Ellie went into labor early and gave birth to four cubs. The lioness wailed when she saw that she had not one but four little leeches to care for. As was custom Ellie was left alone with her mewling cubs and by the time her brother came around to see his nieces and nephews she was smitten. When she rejoined the pride she'd had a transformation, Elodie was mild-mannered, and motherly. She still held some of her independence and despite the large litter she had she insisted on doing most things on her own, wanting her cubs to see their mother as a strong lioness. Ellie can see the big picture now and isn't afraid of laying down roots in the Mugumu pride.
