Devil, or Tas as she likes to be known, is a bit of a rebel, she knows she's special, and she isn't afraid to voice the fact to get her out of trouble.
As part of her grumpy persona, she practises her scowl in the small marshwater puddles, getting herself muddy and dirty to spite her cleanly adopted mothers, Aina and Erro. Despite this, her guardians are proud of her, knowing that however grumpy she may appear, she's still a precious and lovable lioness at heart.
Tas is stubborn and willful, often clashing with other lionesses in the pride, and even King Galaxy, who's baffled by her wilful disobedience, and for the most part, lets his senior lionesses deal with her snarky remarks.
When she thinks she isn't being watched, she acts like a goofy cub around the youngsters, and aspires to be a broodmother in her old age, knowing that she'll never be allowed due to her grace and skill on the hunt. This is part of the reason for her attitude, and even resentment, to most of the pride, hating the strict laws that Galaxy has imposed on her and the other lionesses, and frustrated that her peers can't see how bad it is.
Tas often communicates with the spirits of Kitana the Wise and Erro the first, two highly accomplished Berraya lionesses who used to guide the pride, and who mentored Coal until the day they passed on. Coal knows of her seances, although she herself lacks clarity and finds it difficult to commune with her mentors. The Queen Paramour is mildly envious of this ability, and Tas is the only lioness she ever subtly asks advice from. Despite her roundabout way of asking, the young rebel knows exactly when she's doing it and is saving up many favours to ask of Coal in return, finding it quite amusing that such a clever lioness is indebted to her.
