Thaïs the Favorite

King Badrani met Thaïs when he was patrolling his lands and he was immediately stunned by her beauty. She too was attracted to him. She never revealed her past, and her king didn't insist. Very reserved and soft-natured Thaïs never tried to scheme or manipulate the king to gain power or benifits of some sort. Never a formal queen but a favorite, she held a special place in Badrani's heart. She gave him love and comfort, everything he needed. He greatly appreciated her and the role she played, and so he made sure she was happy and provided for. The only thing he really dreamed of is a daughter just like Thaïs.
Because of her kind heart and soft influence on the king, she was often asked to help in more delicate matters that couldn't be solved by asking the king directly or through Queen Margiana. This greatly annoyed the Queen so even though Margiana could do little to stop it or interfere, Thaïs never abused her favorable position. Thanks to her innate diplomatic skills and a sence of tact, things remained in a perfect balance.
