Ilena

You bring a grasshopper to Ilena, and they are delighted. You relax and watch them pounce after it, until they finally manage to catch it and munch it. Good cub!

Ilena flops on her back when you approach and tries to playfully bite you when you try to groom her.

Upon your approach, Ilena pauses licking her paw and boops your nose, giggling.

As you come near, Ilena wakes up and yawns, then tries to sit on your back and go back to sleep, making you her pillow.

Ilena ran through the grass gleefully, whacking the vegetation with her tails.

Ilena was the first mutated cub born in Pitch's Pride, and he was delighted to have another lion in the Pride that was...different. Not that any of the lionesses treated him any differently than anyone else, but he was very aware of how different from them he was. He was absurdly worried in the first few months that she would somehow die from her extra tail, but as she grew older and showed no signs of abnormality (other than the obvious extra tail) he began to relax. He made it very clear that any lion that made negative comments about her mutation would answer to him, so Ilena lived for her first few months not realizing that she was any different from the other cubs. Eventually she asked Pitch about her second tail, and he explained to her that she was very special, but that lions outside of the Pride might not feel that way. When Finis was born, both she and Pitch were delighted to have another mutated lion in the Pride, and felt the same when Leone was later born. Ilena never had any problems with her extra tails, other than the fact that they had twice chance to be stepped on. She was one of the most playful lions in the Pride, and was happy to play with the younger cubs of the Pride and let their mothers have a break. She was very curious and could often be found exploring the area around the Pridelands. She started taking Elan with her because she felt bad about his treatment at the paws of Finis and his harem, but as they spent more time together they became very good friends.

She grew old during Meshindi's reign, and by the time Amukelani took over she was positively ancient. She didn't let old age stop her, though, and she continued to explore, although she started taking cubs along with her. She only stopped when her body was too weak to travel. She was incredibly stubborn during her last few months, and outlived nearly every lion in the Pride, even her dear friend Elan. When she finally passed during the poaching times to a stubborn cough, the Pride was unable to bury her with her father. They had moved too far away in their search for better hunting grounds, and buried her on a peaceful hill facing the direction in which Pitch had been buried.

There she stays, watching over her father from afar.
