Toph

Toph lost her vision as a young cub after sustaining an injury from a run-in with a snake. She grew used to finding her way around the territory without her sight, but she rarely ventured far from the core of the pridelands. One of her favorite places to relax was a lake full of life. There were many sounds for her to listen to - birds singing, water splashing - and plenty of fragrant flowers for her to smell. She would lie by the lake for many hours, taking in the sounds and the scents of the area. Many birds came to be familiar with her and had no fear of the sightless lion. Toph had no ability to hunt and capture prey, so small animals were perfectly safe around her. Many different birds would gather near her (or on her for the smaller ones) and sing gently to her. Toph would hum and sing with the birds as best as she could for lion. It was peaceful, relaxing and gave her a feeling of belonging, one she rarely had surrounded by sighted lions.

As you two greet each other, Toph moves away when you get too close. You try to approach her again, and she begrudgingly accepts the friendly nuzzle you offer her. She looks a bit bothered about it, though.
