(High Queen) Kohia

She was destined to be Queen.

Even before her arrival to the Court of Kendi, Kohia dazzled onlookers from birth. Kings from all the surrounding lands vied for her to join them, offering lavish dowries of gold beetles and rare treasures to her mother pride.
Kendi, too, was smitten at first glance, and so ensued a tense period of bidding for the stunning cub. Whispers of her unique beauty spread like brushfire through the Court, further fueling the suspense of whether she would come to call their pride home.

And at long last it was decided!

Not long after her arrival did Kohia's already magnificent coat become even more impressive, lovingly adorned with vibrant new colors thanks to the Court Elders. She would be reared by the Queens personally, grooming her for success and her eventual place among their ranks.

Though generally amicable, the perhaps excessive coddling did spoil young Kohia, and she grew to be a somewhat snarky adult. Her sassy demeanor hardly detracted from her near universal admiration however; her beauty was far too entrancing for that.
Unfortunately for dear King Kendi, Kohia spurned his advances. She had been raised in the lap of luxury and known only praise for her looks all her life, and so she expected any would-be mate to meet her own standard of beauty. And young Kendi did not yet fit the fill.
Unbeknownst to Kohia, her rebuke would the necessary push for Kendi to better himself. Inspired by her iridesence, the King would go forth and seek out Aiatar on a quest for heavenly beauty to call his own.

** Her first born was a similarly lovely cub and thought to be a good omen, Princess Kiyo.

Because you didn't want to listen to her yesterday. Because you were busy with other pride mates. No, it's okay, she understands. She's not as important as them. She's sitting very close now. Uh.
