Cheta

Born to Ak'Jazhre and Forza, the pride's most beautiful lioness at the time, Cheta shocked his parents since birth - she bore a striking resemblance to the cheetahs, enough to make the other pride members suspect her mother for cheating. Ak, hesitant to believe this to be true, questioned Forza. Panicked, she assured she had only bred with him, and that the markings and colours of the child had to be pure coincidence - after all, she carried markings similar to the cheetahs herself. Chocolate, exceptionally the only cub of Taesbil to still be alive, backed Forza up on this theory - the first king, her father, had borne similar markings too, only slightly larger and enunciated than her. Convinced by the elder lionesses' testimony, both Ak and the other pridemembers chose to believe in Forza's explanation, although the cub continued to be a topic of rumours and curiosity. Fittingly, she was permanently named Cheta, meaning 'cheetah' in Swahili.
