🌿Chapter 2. A generous leoponess 🌿

You wake up in the middle of the day, it's oddly windy, you can feel your stomach ache with hunger. Getting up slowly, shaking the dry mud out of your fur as you decide to go out scanning for prey. Opening your mouth, breathing in the scent of weird trees, a sweet scent of an exotic omnivore satisfies your nostrils. Desire drew your mighty paws over the steady surface. You're cautious of the territory and too hesitant to step into a deadly trap, but hunger and thirst force you to move forward.

When eventually you exited the woods, you were embraced by a wide landscape crowded with blossoming meadows of blue, white, pink, and purple wildflowers. It was awe-inspiring, scanning above these domains of endless fields. You attempted to pick up the scent again. However, it was unlikely to find the trial now, as there were so many smells of herbs and distinctive creatures that swelled the atmosphere. You saw a giant leafy-bush area with long grass. That would be an excellent hunting spot.

Meanwhile, as you neared the spot, you heard a muffled noise that made you stiffen instantly. You gazed at the spot where the sound originated from when suddenly a head peeked out from the high grass. You blinked, and so did she? the lioness was quite small. She came out from her hiding place and realized that it wasn't a lioness, it was a leopon!! With wings? She strolled over to you and halted when she was directly in front of you. The wavey flowers that were carefully weaved into her fur on the top of her head running down her back moved ever so gently to the rhythm of the wind, her snow-white wings with a golden touch giving them a royal appearance were delicately folded to both sides. Her dawn orbs were filled with interest as she observed you.

The leoponess opened her mouth to speak. Her voice had a soft and delicate tone " Are you, lost hun?" she spoke. You nodded. To be honest, you didn't know where the hell you were. She gave you a cheeky smile, " that's alright, I can guarantee you there's nothing dangerous here. Other than the growth, it can be deadly if you step in the quicksand, and of course, if you're unfortunate to meet a venomous snake, however other than that, it's perfectly safe. The guardian makes certain of that" she noticed your discomfort, your stomach ached in hunger, she giggled," I see you're starving, follow me."

You followed the leoponess who guided you downhill to a pond where lovely flowers, interesting plants, and trees grew everywhere even though the pond is in the middle of a field it was still extremely well hidden, there is a mountainside with three caves, two at the bottom and one at the top, where a small stream of water flowed down, creating a mini waterfall you observed the lions and lioness who also possess wings, except for the cubs and including some of the adolescents plus even a few adults without wings, they remained gathered even though you were standing there. The cubs were swimming and playing around in the water while the others continued talking and sun-bathing.

The leoponess turned to you," I never got your name, I'm Himmel, and you are?" she smiled, you told her your name," that's such a wonderful name Y/N I believe it suits you perfectly. Anyway there's some fresh-kill over there you can have" you try to decline politely. Still, she assures you that everyone is already fed, and there's plenty for everyone. A meal later, and you're filled up with food. You spent the rest of the day hanging out among the Veamore pride. You decide to hang around for a few days to build your strength up as you long for a break before traveling back to your pride.
