Pepperjack has always been a very silent lion. He finished his training in record time without a hitch. It always made Blarn wary, would he try to challenge him? Surely not. Blarn hoped the pride would sway him away from such ambitions. Pepperjack wouldn't admit his goals to anyone. But, if anyone saw him out on patrol, they swore they saw a glimmer of happiness in them. Maybe this is his passion? -- When Blarn stepped down and they pride looked to him, you know what he did? He had a round of laughter that lasted minutes. Pepperjack already knew Kars ambitions and didn't care much about ruling: it was no contest. He had too much fun with the lesser responsibilities of patrolling. Who wants the pressure of everyone's approval on your shoulders? Decisions on who to keep or get rid of, who to kill or spare.. That wasn't something Pepperjack wanted to deal with, "let him have his crown," he said.
