Siri is a cruel-hearted lioness with a lust for power that almost rivals Taji’s. She came to Taji with her two cubs after she left her previous mate, who was far too passive for her liking. She would have allowed Taji to kill off her daughter Kaluwa, except that her son Ubinafsi had already grown attached to his sister. Siri couldn’t care less about the little wretch, more concerned with Taji and what his power and ruthlessness can earn for her in the way of prestige and respect. Besides, if all else fails, Kaluwa can always serve as breeding stock for better, more powerful cubs.
