He was only 5 years old, and though he had some age on him, he still took the news hard. She visited him often to see how much had changed and how much had remained the same. Despite being Secretive, it was the one thing she’d never hide: her devotion to her one and only cub. The last thing he heard her say, upon visiting his home pride to keep vigil beside her grave, was this: “I have always been proud of you, my beautiful son, no matter what... Tomorrow is another day full of promise. Sometimes, all we can manage is day by day, and that's okay. God will see us through if we just put our trust in Him. He will see us through to better days..” A final gift appeared at his grave from his mother, Snowy, along with a message made long ago. “For my son. A real mom is worth her weight in gold. She will give it all for her kids.” 7.5.19) Storm of Falling Snow has gained a scar from some over-zealous tussling - whoops!
