Moonlight

Moonlight Was a huntress once from a foreign land. She was shown great hospitality by this pride so she decided to join it, she set off in search of something new and refreshing. Her old pride wasn't the most exciting or kind of prides.. She loves this home, and will stay until her time is up.

You hear a raspy, old tone from behind you. "Hey you, youngin. Come, walk with me." You turn around to meet Moonlight, her fur is turning grey and it surprises you how wrinkly and old she's suddenly got.. Feels like it was yesterday she was pouncing on fresh prey to bring home. "I'd like to take a walk, but you know.. And old, frail lioness such as me can't possibly do that unattended. Can a strong lion such as yourself walk with me?"

You are a little busy.. But what can it hurt. You nod and begin walking with her besides the river. Moonlight Pauses and stops in her tracks, she looks down into the river below her, its a clear night.. It's very clearly reflected into the water itself. " Young one.. My time will be up soon."


You stop and look to Moonlight, you sit beside her to listen to an old lionesses words. Despite her saying she knew her time was up, she seems completely serene. "Make sure I'm not forgotten. That's all I ask, a dying lionesses wish."

You nod, feeling emotional from that, you might just tear up. She rubs her head against yours. "If you ever think you're alone, remember. Look to the stars, I'll be dancing among them somewhere, ready to guide you."

You sit with Moonlight until you decide to sleep underneath the stars tonight, that was an emotional roller-coaster you weren't expecting.. But you'd forever remember this night, and her wish.
