Wayward Son

Son of Inti del Sol, the pride's king, and Traveller Uno. Wayward Son was named for his mother's many adventures along with his own penchant for exploring which became apparent at a young age. The little cub was born with quite the inner confidence, and he quickly and easily made friends with the rest of the pride. He took a special interest in Yen, who was similar in age to him and with whom he'd grown up. Most suspect the two feel more than friendship for each other, but the shy Yen and much-too-chivalrous Wayward Son will likely never admit this to the other.

Wayward Son's bright spirit was somewhat dampered when at 2 years old his mother left once again to resume the travels she'd told him of before his birth. Before her departure, she made Wayward Son promise to watch over his father in her place. Though they both loved Inti, everyone had noticed the darkness growing within his heart over the past few years. Uno's presence had always softened Inti somewhat, but she knew with her leaving someone else would need to be the one to keep him in check and challenge his decisions when need be. And who better than his bright-spirited son?

With his mother gone, his feelings for Yen still unanswered and his father becoming more conflicted by the day, at times Wayward Son feels as if he bears the weight of the world on his shoulders.
