Tarani

Tarani is the first born daughter to Supreme Huntress Sahara (Queen) and King Conan. She is one of three cubs born to the hierarchy along with three cousins born within the guardians of the hierarchy. Tarani was withdrawn as a cub and lacked confidence despite her mother's best efforts to teach her how to be one with others and one day rule and lead their pride.

There wasn't a lot that Tarani looked forward to and rarely interacted or looked up to anyone in her pride, except for one lion that she did idolise. That was her Great Aunt Maiah. Tarani loved hearing of the stories of Old Kings and royalty as well as the rise of white lions and how they were worshipped amongst all species and animals. Tarani was fascinated with the idea of being something more than just the leader of a pride, someone that was admired, adored and something others wanted to be.

Aunt Maiah told her of the superstitions and religions, filling Tarani's head with speculations and doubt for those who only wanted what was best for her and the others. As Tarani matured, Maiah's health was deteriorating rapidly and Tarani began to fear the worst. Maiah told Tarani that she wished for her people to reach supremacy once more, so that their prides future would not be cursed with the horrors of a prolonging drought no longer, a punishment brought supposedly by her own families' impurities.

Tarani felt betrayed by her own blood, disgusted in them as well as herself and convinced they were selfish beings that wanted to bring not only herself, but those she cared for down. Believing they were jealous of their royalty and purity and seeking to destroy her lineage so they can continue their 'stained' and corrupted ways.

When the day Aunt Maiah had to be laid to rest, Tarani felt as if Maiah could have had a much more noble passing. Instead, she felt that the one lion she admired died in filth and betrayal. A hatred and evil was born within Tarani that day, that she made a promise to Maiah. That she would see white lions arise again above all species, bringing them back into supremacy once more. Tarani vowed that they will again walk among kings and other lions will kneel before their purity. Tarani promised that her fur will be stained red with the blood of those who stood against her and vowed to cleanse the pride lands of the 'stained' ones.

A new era had begun, one built on hatred and rage....
